Around Town

The Square, located in the heart of Oxford, is the best place to go for fun. Shopping, restaurants, bookstores, and bars line the streets of the square and are packed year long.

There are some concerts you can go to for free and some good cheap concerts as well. There are bars that let you go in and Greek parties. There is the Square(good for shopping or relaxing) and a few historic areas to go to.

Downtown Oxford is nice with many shops and restaurants. There is Sardis Lake nearby that is good for fishing/boating/camping.

Go to the square! Explore Oxford! There are underground tunnels that have pretty interesting graffiti on them. Sardis is about 15 minutes away and you can relax by the lake. Go to Memphis for the weekend. Visit William Faulkner's home. There's so much to do, just go out and FIND IT!

Its not much to do. The university is in the small town of Oxford where everyone does the same thing over and over and everyone knows your business. Kind of like back at home.

Oxford, the college town around our university, is famous for the night life on The Square. There are boutiques, restaurants and bars, coffee shops, and all kinds of other things. Oxford is only about an hour away from Memphis, TN, which is one of the biggest cities in our area. In addition to that, Ole Miss loves its athletics. There is always a game of some sort going on, most of which are free for students to attend.

For fun, students can participate in a wide variety of on campus events from campus wide game days to week long events such as Humans versus Zombies. We have many organizations on campus including Ole Miss Outdoors and the Ole Miss Gamer's Association that constantly provide fun opportunities for the students to get involved in fun and engaging activities on campus.
