Near enough to walk is the Country Club Plaza with delicious restaurants and beautiful buildings and fountains to enjoy if you are just wanting to take a walk. Another good choice for a walk would be the super close Loose Park with a lovely pond and lots of green grass for picnics or frisbee. It's a simple bus ride to get downtown and explore the art museum, river market, or the top of the WWI memorial. Kansas City is full of unique coffee shops and quirky stores. For fun all you have to do is set of in any direction to find a lovely adventure.
