Bars are only for 21+. Other than that, there's not too much to do in the actual city of Columbia. Downtown has some really cute shops and restaurants, though, and there are always frat/house parties. Football games and tailgating are a must, definitely the most fun time of the school year.

Downtown is nearby full of shops and restaurants, and there are always free things to do, like see movies at Jesse Hall or go to the Craft Studio for FreeCrafternoons.

Try to find a club among the million to join that actually remembers you, I dare you to try.

Downtown, Columbia is within walking distance from campus and offers many fun things to do. The blue note is a great place for concerts and is located downtown. There's also lots of shops and restuarants, like Shakespeare's Pizza. There's also lots of activities sposored by Mizzou that can be fun.

I check stufftodo.missouri.edu daily. It lists educational extracurricular activities, sports, what the Craft Studio is offering that day, what the social justice organizations are doing, etc. It does not list club meetings, but the Involvement Ambassadors maintain a database of student organizations, and at the start of fall and spring semesters, there are days where the various orgs table to attract new freshman or transfer students.

At college you have so much free time that it is sometimes hard to fill it up. Get involved in a club or group that sounds interesting to you! There are always social events during the week and parties on the weekend because lets face it, this is college. People do party. Football season is great so try and attend some games. Just do something! Don't sit in your room and watch netfilx the whole time, that is not the college experience.

Mizzou has a lot of free activity nights where you get to do cool stuff & free movies on the weekends. I personally dont party so I cant tell you anything like that. If you join a club I'm sure you find more stuff to do.
