    Be open to alternative lifestyles and sexuality. 5:1 girl to guy ratio, so that's nice. Be open and friendly to other people or you'll never make friends! Pay attention in your classes, the professors will help if you need it.

    Get to know your professors. The classes are small, and they really care about you as a person! Get involved with college night (PV). It's the oldest homecoming tradition in the country, and you won't want to miss out. Be friendly. By the end of freshman year, you'll know everyone.

    You will be so bored on the weekends, should you choose to stay. Most everyone goes home and you'll have to make your own fun which can be hard. This town does not support the college with businesses and restaurants catered to the students here which is extremely frustrating. The closest Walmart is 10 miles away and so is the rest of the shopping.
