While many people believe that graduating from a bigger name school (ie Tulane, Loyola, LSU) means a better education, UNO is right on par. Many of my professors and instructors teach at Tulane and Loyola as well. I have been learning a good bit in my current classes, and I am very satisfied with the education I am receiving. And when you graduate and are applying, unless you are trying to get into a competitive work atmosphere (ie Law or Medical) a UNO degree holds just as much weight as anywhere else.

The professors I have had so far (I'm only a freshman) are not only experts at what they're teaching, but are also caring toward the students and their grades. UNO offers a well-rounded college experience for whomever wants to attend.

» Read MoreUNO is a commuter school where it is easy to observe a great diversity in the campus community. Even though the university still has some visible damaged due to hurricane Katrina, the administrators are doing their best to rennovate facilities as much as possible. It is where you can get private education with public tuition.
