There are tons of bars close by campus and even if you aren't of age for that there are still many hang out spots. The campus itself is usually alive with events and down town Denton stays entergetic.

There was always something going on at UNT, some festival or fair or party, they even bring a major artist to campus and have a concert free for students. Student organizations were always having events for UNT students on campus. Denton itself is a college town, so it was easy to find something to do. During weekends though, campus is kind of dead because most people that go to school there live nearby and go home for the weekend. I myself went home every weekend and whenever I came back on Sundays campus was really dead.

Almost every hall has a pool table, ping pong table, and a tv. The rec has sand volleyball and indoor volleyball along with indoor/basketball. There are tons of intramural sports you can participate in.

There is always something going on. On a campus with 36,000 other students, you will always find something to do. From UNT's Distinguished Lecture series which has brought speakers such as George W. Bush, Condoleezza Rice, Rainn Wilson and others, on campus movie screenings, off campus bowling and hookah bars, country dance halls and Fry street, the notorious bar scene right off of campus, you will never be bored.
