Around Town

We here at Oregon love sports and parties. There is always some sort of a sporting event going on, whether its football, basketball, baseball, or track. Furthermore, you can always plan on finding a social event every Friday and Saturday night. At the same time, the culture is very accepting and, and there are none of the alcohol or drug related deaths and injuries that plague other schools. But whatever you do, go to a football game. Autzen stadium on saturdays is unlike anything else you'll ever experience. Furthermore, we have an excellent student recreation center where you can work out in a full weight room, indoor track, and pool.

Go to sporting events (football, basketball, baseball, etc.). The college has some of the most beautiful facilities in the nation, and they're all very special places to watch games at. The experiences in each of them are unmatched.

Biking, hiking, swimming, dancing, sports, going out, greek life, the list is endless.

There are so many great organizations that often host awesome events. The student co-ops also put on lots of great events for good causes.

Saturday Market downtown is great for some shopping and eating while watching locals of Eugene dance and have a good time. There are some nearby hikes that show the beautiful northwest forests.

There are so many activities to do in Eugene. If you like music, there is almost always a concert happening. If not, take a nice walk through the neighborhoods to the south of campus. Getting to the mall, movie theater, or laser tag facility are easy as well with the amazing bus system in Eugene.

Go to sporting events!

Attend a Ducks football or basketball game! And, go greek!

Work out in the recreational center, go for a bike ride, to clubbing, go to the bar, go hang out with friends. The University provides lots of different clubs, movie nights, and different ways to entertain yourself that doesn't need drugs or alcohol if that isn't your thing.

Spend time outside, golf, party, frisbee, date girls, eat food, experience eugene, run, play intramural sports, go to concerts, greek life, there is an unbelievable amount to do.
