Categories Comments Great for these types of students If you enjoys to school that isn't too large or too small, this university is perfect for you.
Tips for prospective students I encourage all freshman planning to attend Upstate to become active in student life. Join at least two or three organizations and be completely devoted. Also, remember to stay focused on academics. Its easy to become distracted with friends and events. At the end of the semester your GPA matters the most.
Bang for the buck I received a healthy amount of financial aid from the university, excluding my academic scholarships. Upstate is definitely worth every penny. I know that I'll leave this institution with professional connects/resources and a useful degree, which will carry me in to my future career.
Am enjoying being here Joining different organizations really helped me meet different people on campus. These people have become my best friends in such a short time. I've really formed a small family and a home away from home.
Am learning a lot Academically, I have learned so much this semester. All of my courses were fairly hard, and I anticipated the challenge. I believe a firm education is based resisting the urge to take easy courses.

Categories Comments Tips for prospective students Make sure you park correctly or you WILL get a ticket. Coming to school 10 minutes early, if you commute, isn't a bad idea at all since parking is always an issue at Upstate.
Bang for the buck I believe when you're a student at Upstate you get the bang for your buck because there is a small ratio of student to teachers. You are able to know your teacher on a personal level and they are able to help you while getting to know you. Our teachers care so much about our goals and they want to help you unlike other colleges with 300 students in each classroom.
Am enjoying being here Even though, I commute I love USC Upstate because it's so close to my home. I know that I am safe at Upstate because of the environment. I would enjoy living there if I could find more scholarships to help me do so.
Am learning a lot At Upstate, I have learned so many things about writing papers, how to manage my time, achieving my goals, planning ahead, and how to study for tests and exams.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students USC Upstate is great for students who prefer smaller classrooms, seeking a nursing degree, educational degree, ROTC, criminal justice, or any type of IT degree. There are many other degrees that's offered here. You can check them out at http://www.uscupstate.edu/academics/default.aspx?id=26472 .
Tips for prospective students If you're in high school try to earn college credits in your last years or the summer of your senior year. Look for as many scholarships; www.fastweb.com and www.collegeboard.com is a great site.
Bang for the buck College anywhere is expensive, but Upstate is reasonable. Their prices definitely math the quality.
Am enjoying being here I enjoy Upstate for the academic environment. Socially, however, people tend to stay in their cliques; it's very easy to notice the freshmen. You HAVE to be willing to get to know people for yourself, and not wait for people to come to you all the time. It's not like high school; the upperclassmen are more than willing to help anyone get around or just need some advise. Mostly everyone is friendly, but like I said you have to speak up!
Am learning a lot I have learned a great variety of things. I have been academically prepared for the future for a promising career and mentally coached for independence. The instructors are awesome and they are available whenever you need them.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students If you love a diverse atmosphere and a small, intimate campus, this is the college for you.
Tips for prospective students Come in with an open mind and a goal of getting involved. College is all about putting yourself out there and making a name for yourself. Upstate is the perfect place to start that process.
Bang for the buck No college tuition is cheap. But I feel like I am getting my money's worth. I enjoy being on campus everyday and I enjoy all of my classes. The atmosphere alone is worth the money.
Am enjoying being here I transferred here from a different university the second semester of my freshman year. I was scared about having to readjust to a new school but I found it to be a lot easier here. The atmosphere is so inviting. I was more comfortable getting more involved on campus and immediately started making new friends. I'm now very involved in several campus activities which has definitely been worth my while.
Am learning a lot College is never easy. But I feel challenged here in such a way that I enjoy. I've learned more at Upstate than I did at the other school I attended. The teachers are always willing to help and are dedicated to student learning. I feel that I will excel in my career due to what I have learned so far at Upstate.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students This school is great for students who want to go to a smaller school but that is not too small! It is great for students who want to commute or live on campus. It is great for students who want an intimate setting with their peers and with their professors! This school is great for anyone who wants a great education!
Tips for prospective students I would suggest that you make sure that you get involved in some way or another on campus! Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone! However, don't get so involved that you put your studies aside. I have had many friends who decided to be lazy, not come to class or do the homework because they thought Upstate was just a community school that they could get way with anything and ended up losing their scholarships! If you manage your time well, you will be able to have fun, make friends, keep your grades up and keep your scholarships!
Bang for the buck I received a full ride to Upstate through Teaching Fellows and the Life Scholarship! If you receive the Life scholarship, it will help pay for most of your schooling, which is great! However, the summer school classes are fairly expensive! That is why I am applying for so many scholarships, to help pay for summer school! But all together, Upstate is at a great price for the great education that you will receive! Financially, I am very happy with Upstate and glad that I chose to go here! You will receive just as good of an education and sometimes better than another University in South Carolina, such as North Greenville, Anderson, Clemson, Furman or Wofford but much cheaper!
Am enjoying being here There have been times when Upstate isn't so enjoyable, because it seems like there isn't much to do but if you seek out the groups, you will find lots of groups to join! I am not a part of any groups except one, Teach, but that is because I am involved in many extracurricular activities, outside of school. One thing about Upstate is that it is a commuter school, so it is hard to make it back to all of the nighttime activities and groups that meet. But all in all, I am enjoying myself at Upstate and can not wait to officially become an Alumni! I tell all of my friends that they should consider Upstate as one of their choices, if not the ultimate one because it offers so much! It is not too small but not too big, the professors are great, the activities are great and it is not too far from home!
Am learning a lot Upstate is a school where you are challenged academically. Everyone thinks that because it is located in Spartanburg that it is an easy school but it not. The Professors challenge you in every way possible, from Religion, to World History to Biology. All of the classes are challenging but give such a reward when you receive an A or a B at the end of the semester! I have learned so much at Upstate. If you are a diligent student who is responsible, studies hard and gives it your best, you will definitely succeed at Upstate!

Categories Comments Great for these types of students USC Upstate is a great place for students is you are interested in any type of nursing. they are known because they have the best nursing program in the state of South Carolina.
Tips for prospective students Try to make it to every class and do not skip out because it would be your luck that the day you skip out the teacher will have a pop quiz and missing out on that could truly bring you grade down. Try not to procrastinate! that was a major issue of mine. i waited the night before the test to even open the material. trust me that does not do you any good! stay on your teachers good side and make frequent meetings with them, the better they know you the more potential you have to pass the class with at least a B. get involved. there are so many organizations to choose from. remember this isn't high school and the teachers wont just send you outside in the hall. the teacher has the ability to completely withdraw you from their class and never let you come back for the rest of the semester. REMEMBER: YOU ARE PAYIING FOR THIS!
Bang for the buck MAKE SURE YOU APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS! they are out there..yes do do have to do a little extra work to find them but they are out there. no college is cheap if that's the case no one would every take out a loan. don't be upset if you end up having to take out a loan either. but if you do aim for the subsidized loans not the unsubsidized one. sub loans are where the government pays your interest. unsubsidized you are paying crazy interest by the time you get out of school
Am enjoying being here I absolutely love it. From their student life center to the student success center everyone is out to help you succeed. They want you to learn. teachers are actually concerned about your performance in the class and they honestly and sincerely want you to do well. they are always available when you need them. the student teacher ratio is awesome. so if you really need that one on one time with your teacher just request it an you will get it.
Am learning a lot i am learning a great amount! Upstate has broadened my insight on college life as a whole. honestly coming straight out of high school i did not have to study a thing.. i quickly realized that college is totally different. i never knew what MLA style was when writing a paper, or what In-text citation was but upstate has taught me all of this.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The campus police patrol very often and there are emergency buttons all over the campus. If there is anything going on around campus that is a threat, a text alert and email are sent out to students.
Clubs and Activities There are so many things that you can do!
Bang for the buck The courses are the same rigor or more difficult than the main USC Campus, so there is no difference. This school is what you make it. It is relatively cheap and has an excellent staff, so you should use that to your advantage.
What to do for fun Clubs and choir. There are many different clubs on campus that you can join. If you don't see one that you like, you can create one. The choir is decent, but not close to being amazing, so if you are a serious singer, I would suggest that you find a community choir. The Wellness Center on campus has many different exercise classes.
Food and Dining The food at Upstate is very good, but the meal plans are a bit expensive. If you live on campus in Magnolia House or Palmetto House, you are required to buy the most expensive meal plan. That meal plan is the only reason that I do not have a full ride.
Dorm Life Walls are thin, so you need to respect people by controlling your volume. Most RAs are respectful, but there are a couple that should never be in charge of other students.
Academic Rigor Science classes are said to be very difficult.
Tips for prospective students Don't drive freshman year because parking is not that great.
In three sentences Upstate is a small school, so the staff is very dedicated. The dormitories are pretty nice and there are always on-campus activities. Even though we are a small school, you can find something on-campus for you.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students People who like small classes and aren't into huge cities.
Tips for prospective students Take a tour before you commit.
Bang for the buck For an average to lower college tuiton price, you are getting a good college experience.
Am enjoying being here While it is a small campus, there are a lot of things to do if you look. CAB holds a lot of student functions and there are so many clubs to join.
Am learning a lot Small class sizes. Most teachers are easily accessable outside of class times and are willing to help you.

Categories Comments Tips for prospective students Study!
Bang for the buck it is pretty pricey but it is a large school that is very noticed for it's academics.
Am enjoying being here The atmosphere is great. Housing is very nice, so are the directors. don't worry about getting a room mate you don't like. if you don't get along housing with provide a new room mate.
Am learning a lot Great well-rounded school. There's always someone willing to help you out. There are a few select teachers who are incredibly hard and I personally don't suggest you take. There's many options for teachers and class day/times. upstate is great for traditional and non-traditional students. There's lots of activities and ways to become involved. Tutoring is always available.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Nothing terrible really happens on campus.
Greek Life NPHC is relatively new and blossoming into something bigger. NPH is typical as other campuses.
Clubs and Activities Not many clubs worth joining.
Great for these types of students Nursing majors, African Americans and Caucasian, Quiet, Loud, Outgoing
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus The Talent Show is pretty fun and Homecoming is a blast!
Bang for the buck It is a nice, fairly inexpensive option for people who want a good education but doesn't want to pay an arm and an leg for it.
What to do for fun Party, Drink, Chill, Hang Out and Interact with the opposite sex. nothing to do around Spartanburg really.
Food and Dining The Cafe SUCKS!! Sandella's is very good.
Dorm Life Freshman Magnolia House is wild. Palmetto House is calmer and more study driven. The Villas suck but are the only upperclassmen option on campus if you want more independence outside of the dorms.
Academic Rigor Very tough Science and Math classes! Fairly easy English, Psychology and Language classes.
Tips for prospective students Eat at the cafe on a non-touring day! If you are a Nursing major, be prepared to study. Do not just focus on the partying. This is a very small school so everyone knows everyone's business.
In three sentences Upstate is a small school that is trying to detach itself from the Columbia campus. It is a great school for Nursing majors. If you want a close knit community then Upstate is the right school for you.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students USC Upstate is great for a student who isn't seeking a wild city life style of college, and absolutely perfect for anyone who is legitimately interested in furthering their academic success.
Tips for prospective students Join an organization or two and get to know your professors. It truly is the community experience that makes college memories long-lasting. Plus, your professors can be paramount later in life when you're going to require recommendations and praises.
Bang for the buck As any reviewer will tell you, college is not a cheap journey. However, Upstate is remarkably reasonable in their tuition rates and is very much so a bang for the buck.
Am enjoying being here Although I am merely a commuting student, I do enjoy campus live every once in a while and the overall atmosphere is wonderful. Initially, I'd planned to attend Upstate for a year or two and then transfer elsewhere, but I have no doubts that Upstate is my college of choice for graduation.
Am learning a lot USC Upstate professors are knowledgeable and generally willing to help any student in a time of academic strife. The classes are relatively challenging but comparatively, it's not as instructionally renowned as it could be.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Someone who is waiting to burst of their shell, eager to meet new people and ready to learn.
Tips for prospective students Make sure you always attend class. Study hard. One of my professors always said that college is about three things 1. Having fun 2. Doing your work 3. knowing when to do 1 and 2. Try to sit a different table with new people once a week, that will allow you to make new friends. Also, try to join at least one organization that you feel passionate about. And always remember there's no Upstate without U!
Bang for the buck No matter which college or university you decide to go to it's always going to be expensive. Here at Upstate you definitely get more for the money. Not only do you have wonderful dorm rooms, a beautiful campus and wonder people, you also have a lifetime of memories that's waiting to happen.
Am enjoying being here Choosing Upstate is one of the best decisions I could have possibly made. The students are nice and loving. Everyone looks out for each other and helps when someone needs it. Upstate is like a huge family. Most Professors have an open door policy and so does the RA's which helps a lot. There's always something fun happening on campus to help you find yourself and know new people.
Am learning a lot Not only do you learn from your professors, but you learn from your peers as well and they learn from you. You can tell all of the professors have a passion for everything they do, which kind of makes you passionate about the things you do and love. At Upstate you're constantly learning inside and outside the classroom.

Categories Comments What to do for fun Get involved in some student organizations. Spartanburg itself is a small, boring city, but it can be fun if you are involved in extracurriculars with other similar minded students and young people.
Food and Dining I don't know. I don't ever eat on campus
Dorm Life I've never lived on campus, since I live in Spartanburg. It makes most sense for those who live in the area to commute to class to save money. The dorm life doesn't seem very exciting.
Academic Rigor Some classes are easy and pointless while some are challenging and completely worth your time and money.
Tips for prospective students Transfer students should attend the earliest orientation they are able. You cannot register for your classes until you attend an orientation, and transfer students are the last in line to pick their classes. This can be frustrating, so try to attend orientation as soon as you make up your mind to attend.
In three sentences I was pleasantly surprised by the new Health Education Complex, the building in which I take the majority of my classes. Also, the nursing faculty is very friendly, helpful and welcoming. It's a stark contrast with the professors I've encountered at Spartanburg Community College.

Categories Comments Clubs and Activities great selection of clubs and easy process for creating new ones.
Food and Dining great choices, multitude of small restaurant like places to eat around campus, along with normal dining services. a certain amount of spartan bucks comes with each meal plan that can be used at the other eateries around campus.
Dorm Life there are suite style dorms for upper classmen, along with apartments (the villas). freshmen are required to live in the normal dorm layout building with shared floor bathrooms.
Academic Rigor good academic rigor. they try to challenge the students, not just let them off easily.
Tips for prospective students apply early, especially for financial aid, it goes very fast. if you transfer in, learn the different academic policies here and the different expectations.
In three sentences upstate is a good school with strong academic policies. the professors are helpful for the most part. the campus is well cared for and is a tobacco free campus, which means no smoking on campus unless in a vehicle with windows all the way closed.

Bang for the buck Great education for the price!
What to do for fun Downtown Greenville is better than Spartanburg, but there are fun things to do within driving distance.
Food and Dining There are several places to get food on campus and downtown Spartanburg is right down the street with many restaurants.
Dorm Life I'm a commuter
Academic Rigor Do the work and you will pass.
Tips for prospective students Check out the campus to see if you think it is the right fit for you.

Categories Comments Campus Safety police and maintenance are on call all the time so no need to fret.
Greek Life some over power the other, the step shows are great so our greek life is a must see and they always have things going on throughout campus.
Clubs and Activities join clubs! impact, cab, etc. they will get you ready to experience more things in later years and help you meet new people.
Great for these types of students who want a challenge , small class sizes, wanting to be apart of it all and know whats going on
Bang for the buck this school maybe a bit pricey but the academics make up for everything.
What to do for fun there is always something going on campus so always mark your calendar. join clubs so you have things to do on the weekend. also have school spirit and delve into something different, it will make things more enjoyable.
Food and Dining cafe food is somewhat good on certain days but there is alot of variety to choose from. on campus dining places are there to use with spartan points so when your on the run to class, you can just stop and pick up something or just get a snack.
Dorm Life make sure to have a contract made up with roommates for an agreement on things. dorm life is great no problems with anything. would advise storage systems to help organize stuff. double room and single rooms are large enough to accommodate everyone.
Academic Rigor the teachers push you hard and what you to be your best. the science classes are strenuous and require alot of time to study. there are plenty of aids and tutoring if you are struggling in certain classes.
Tips for prospective students make sure you come in with a leveled head, study, apply for a lot of scholarships. also there will be a lot of parties going on so make sure to be able to balance your time partying with academics or whatever else you are trying to do. also please take university 101!!! <--- best class you will have your whole freshman year!!! =)
In three sentences this college is great if you want small class sizes and is surrounded by plenty places to eat and other colleges. on campus housing is very reliable and affordable. financial aid is a hassle to get in touch with but overall this school is the best!

Food and Dining The cafe is great! Always clean and great food! There is also a sub place and soups/sandwich and salad place!
Dorm Life The dorms are as nice as hotels if not nicer! Very fancy and clean.
Academic Rigor Academic Rigor at USCS makes it very easy to get established.
Tips for prospective students Don't take it lightly college is no easy task. It takes hard work and dedication.
In three sentences At USCS the counselors have been more than helpful. It's a small campus and easy to find your way around! The classes sizes are small which works better for me towards a learning environment.

Categories Comments Bang for the buck You definitely get the education you pay for!
What to do for fun There aren't really many fun things to do on campus. There is the SpringFest and the Rocktoberfest. And then you have your basketball games to attend to but other than that there's really not much to do.
Food and Dining The food isn't all that great, there are some good days and then there are some bad days. Which I think its that way at just about any school you go to.
Dorm Life They tend to be a little strict on the rules, but for a good cause. Other than that it was a fun experience for me!
Academic Rigor USC Upstate has excellent teachers and they are all very skilled in everything they teach. I can honestly say that I took something away from every class whether I have done poorly or not.
Tips for prospective students GET INVOLVED!!! CAB and Impact are some pretty good organizations to join. Also, I recommend staying on campus at least the first year or two, it's a good experience to have.
In three sentences Upstate has excellent teachers. Very good school academically, not so much socially. Pretty small schools so it's easy to build relationships with your professors.

Categories Comments Campus Safety We have a campus police department on campus, which is always patrolling (they also write a lot of parking tickets -- just a tip).
What to do for fun Regarding the school specifically, I cannot answer this because I do not participate in school activities (I'm over 25 with a family). Spartanburg in general, however, has several downtown restaurants; one mall; a couple nearby zoos...it is pretty small, but neighboring Greenville has a lot to do.
Food and Dining I have not eaten in the dining hall myself, but have never heard any complaints.
Tips for prospective students Take advantage of the many learning resources for students, such as the writing center, the tutoring labs, and the SI programs. Get to know your professors so you are comfortable asking for any needed help.
In three sentences The nursing program is highly rated, but a little bit disorganized. The tuition is reasonable. Most of the professors are challenging, helpful, and want their students to succeed.

Categories Comments Campus Safety I never had any issues, but there would be the occasional Alert text because there was unsafe activities around campus. Never on campus, but on the apartment complexes near campus. On a scale of 1-10 10 being VERY safe, I'd rank the school probably a 6.
Clubs and Activities Plenty of things to join.
Great for these types of students People who love the outdoors.
Bang for the buck If you're coming here as an in-state student, then you'll be saving a lot of money.
What to do for fun I lived in Greenville while I attended school there, so I hung out in Greenville a lot. The school does have a lot of activities you can get involved in. Night life is non-existent. They have bars and stuff, but nothing to get excited about. If you like to do things outdoors, then you'll have a blast. They are all about outdoor activities here.
Food and Dining Food is hit or miss. Sometimes I love it and sometimes the stuff they have is just ehh. If you go anywhere else, but the Caf the food is kind of expensive, but it does taste a little better.
Dorm Life I didn't live in the dorms, but people liked it from what I understand.
Academic Rigor A lot of people say that some of the programs here are much harder than that of main campus in Columbia because it is a smaller school and teachers grade harder. Just like any other school though everything will depend on what your major is, who is your professor, and how hard you work. The library lab is open 24 hours (you have to have your student ID card), so you'll always have a place to study.
Tips for prospective students -It's in Spartanburg, SC which there isn't much to do if you're coming from a big city. -If you like the outdoors, then this will be fine for you. -Have a car. They have a bus service that'll take to places off campus, but it's better just to have your own car.
In three sentences It is in a very small town, so if you are not used to a small town, then I would probably go to the main campus in Columbia. Overall, the teachers are great. Also, I thought advising is wonderful, they really do want you to succeed and finish in a timely manner.

Categories Comments Campus Safety There are real cops that work for the campus and they are constantly patrolling. Giving out tickets or just riding around to get to know you and say a friendly hello
Greek Life There are not a lot of Greek life on campus and they really only make themselves known during the recruiting season and when they are coming out
Clubs and Activities There is a club for almost everything and they have a day set aside for you to get to know them. They are not too obvious outside of this day but if you are interested and have the patience to look them up then you will find them.
Great for these types of students As long as you know how to gage your time and are CAREFUL of the teachers you pick anyone can do fine here.
What to do for fun There are different games to go to. There are also events that they are always hosting on campus. Plus its not too far from the downtown area.
Food and Dining The food is okay. They try to appeal to all of the nationalities. The cafeteria is all you can eat once you are in there. They have several meal plans that you can purchase from and the have three other places beside the cafeteria that you can get food from. One is a health food place near the gym the other two are a pizza and sub sandwich place and a place thats similar to Starbucks. Pretty cool
Dorm Life The dorms are okay. They are respectable during exam week and just like any other college there is a curfew. the toilet has its own room and the shower has its own room and there are two sinks. They also come with a mini fridge. The key to your room is your id unless you live in the upperclassman housing which is apartment style. full kitchen, living room, and two bedrooms with a bathroom in each one.
Tips for prospective students If you decide to attend here make sure that you utilize the site ratemyprofessor.com. A lot of the review on there are true. Plan ahead to teach yourself a lot of stuff because the teachers wont.
In three sentences Good teachers in the education and psychology department, but the school of nursing is the hardest to get into even with good grades and the biology department is the is the worst that I have ever experienced.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Campus Safety is very important to me since I am a younger female. I have noticed that Upstate always has security patrolling the parking lots to ensure no one and nothing is in danger. They have many polls set up around campus for emergencies. They go above and beyond to ensure that everyone, from staff to student, is in a safe environment.
Greek Life Although I have never been interested in Greek Life, I did have two roommates my sophomore year that were in the same sorority. They were super friendly girls and always willing to help anyone they could. They also studied really hard to maintain their great GPA.
Clubs and Activities The only reason I had for rating clubs and activities one star is that I never involved myself in any clubs or activities. I do, however, know there are many great clubs and activities available to all students at USC Upstate!
Great for these types of students USC Upstate is a great school for any student looking for a personal education. The class sizes tend to be smaller and more personal. I love that my professors know me by name. If there is ever a problems they will help me solve it quickly. There are a wide variety of different personalities at USC Upstate. I feel that anyone could quickly fit right in!
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus I honestly cannot recall any unusual traditions or locations on the campus of USC Upstate.
Bang for the buck Many students are not interested in living on campus at USC Upstate. One of the things I found most fascinating was the options they have for off-campus housing. They have a few apartment style complexes set up in close proximity to the campus. These apartment style complexes are a great way for new students at USC Upstate to meet new friends and network. Most complexes include swimming pools, spas, tanning beds, fitness center, game rooms, laundry, and much more. On the week of exams, the workers at these complexes stand in the parking lot and provide breakfast and snacks for all students taking exams. I found this to be fascinating.
What to do for fun Upstate has many campus activities which students may become involved in. There are many sports games which go on frequently throughout the seasons. Upstate completed construction on a very nice fitness center for students just a few years ago. It is completely free for students and has all amenities that can be found at any local gym. There are many clubs and organizations available to students, as well as, Greek life and religious affiliations. Upstate is a very well rounded school and is a great choice for any students looking for a multicultural, public university.
Food and Dining As with dorm life, I have never experienced food and dining at USC Upstate; therefore, my opinion should be void.
Dorm Life I can only rate dorm life one star out of five. I must be honest, I have never had to experience dorm life; therefore, my opinion should really be void.
Academic Rigor On the scale of one to five for academic rigor, I will have to give USC Upstate four stars. Not that I personally don't think it is rigorous enough, but when compared to schools such as Harvard and Yale, well, there is obviously no comparison. If Upstate were just as rigorous as the Ivy League schools, then one could only assume it would also be an Ivy League school.
Tips for prospective students Prospective students should keep in mind that USC Upstate has a record of being a tough school and they are not about to back down from that record. Many hours of studying are required each week and intense studying is required for the exams. Although Upstate is tough, students should be proud of that fact and appreciate that Upstate has hired the best of the best to prepare students today for life tomorrow. Being prepared for a solid career in the business world is far more important than receiving an A that wasn't deserving.
In three sentences USC Upstate is a very challenging, yet exciting school in many way. The majority of instructors are beyond just knowing the subject they teach; they are instead, living the subject they teach. Having instructors whom really have a deep passion for the subject they are teaching not only leaves the students really excited to learn, but also ensure students graduate with a deep knowledge of the courses which they have studied.

Categories Comments Tips for prospective students If you are looking at this college I'd say you would need to have a good GPA & ACT/SAT scores.
In three sentences USC Upstate is a very nice campus. Its a nice size and not outrageously big like the main campus. I feel like I would be known by the professors as a student not just a number.

Categories Comments Campus Safety USC Upstate's campus is extremely safe. They have campus security that patrols the campus 24/7, and someone is always by the phone in case of an emergency. Throughout the campus, there are emergency siren stations installed in case you feel as if your about to be attacked, or something happens where you can't reach a phone.
Greek Life There are over 15 different Greek organizations on campus, and they are very active in the student, and Upstate community.
Clubs and Activities There are over 25 different clubs that you can get yourself involved in. Each club is always open to new members, and if there is a club that doesn't exist that you think should, you can always create.
What to do for fun There are so many different things you can do for fun. You can attend most of the events held on campus, and receive free stuff: shirts, mugs, food, etc. Throughout the semester, there are special events held that are extremely fun like October-fest, Spring Fling, Hispanic Cultural Event, ect. If your in the dorms, most of your friends are there in the dorms with you. You can also attend the games held on campus; such as basketball, softball, baseball, soccer, etc.
Food and Dining Food and dining isn't the best, but it isn't the worst either. Depending on the days, they have a pretty good selection. The serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Cafe allows you to voice your opinion in order to know if they should continue, or discontinue something on the menu. For example, one time the Cafe had, what they called, a Meatless Monday; which was exactly what it sounded like, and they only served vegetables, and tofu. After surveying the students opinions, that was the first and last time the Cafe decided to have a Meatless Monday. During exam week at the end of the semester, the Cafe host a midnight breakfast for students which is always awesome. But in all, the Cafe isn't too bad.
Dorm Life Dorm life is amazing. It doesn't seem like it would be, but as soon as you get there your image of what you expect immediately disappears. There is always something happening in the dorms; so you are never bored. The R.A on your hall makes him/herself known, and are always very friendly. If you don't have a laptop, or don't have a printer it is perfectly fine because there is a computer lab open 24/7 in the basement of the dorms; allowing you to print, or type up any assignment. Dorm life is one of the best things about your freshman year, and if you love dorm life so much you can stay there your sophomore, junior, and even your senior year.
Academic Rigor The academic rigor is at a standard position. It's important to try and keep your grades up. However, if you have trouble with doing so, USC Upstate does its best to try and get you back into good academic standards. For example, they provide free tutors for every subject, an open library, open labs, etc.
Tips for prospective students My first tip for you is to come as yourself. USC Upstate is a openhearted college community that allows everyone to feel comfortable in their own skin. Everyone is friendly, so its extremely easy to find a place to fit in. My second tip for you is to get to know your professors. The professors here make it their objective to involve themselves with each student; leaving no student behind. For example, the professors at USC Upstate are always the last to leave the classroom because they want to be sure that every student understands what happened in class. My last tip for you would have to be about the dorms. Please make sure you stay in the dorms your freshman year because that is the best way to meet so many new people, and provides you with the first taste of college life. It also helps keep you informed of every event that may take place on campus.
In three sentences I would rate the University of South Carolina an 8.5 out of 10. The professors here, unlike other schools, try to reach out to their students, and keep them involved. Although the school isn't as big as other universities, you still get the full experience of a college life.

Categories Comments Campus Safety It's a gated community with gates around the campus and security scanner outside every dorm hall.
Clubs and Activities Many clubs to join that fits different interests. If you have a new idea for another club, students can petition to bring about a club of their liking.
What to do for fun Other than on campus activities, many students enjoys company from their friends at the mall or in the gym.
Food and Dining If the students doesn't like the food, there are comment cards inside the cafeteria to allow for tough criticism on improving.
Dorm Life The student life on campus is rich and full of activities. Many students intelligently mock how the dorms are located in a gated community. There are securities to ensure safety and opportunities to meet interesting people.
Academic Rigor There are different majors for students to consider in when mapping out their career plan. At USC Upstate, the professors constantly enhance their knowledge on a specific field and introduce the materials to the students. We have demanding courses that requires hours of studying in order to properly prepare for your classes. In addition to that, Upstate has the best nursing program with competitive entry.
Tips for prospective students In order to fully gain the experience of college life, you have to join any organization. Many can say that joining clubs is the beginning of meeting people with similar interest. It is important for students to get involved on campus, rather improving the school or cheering on the basketball team to victory.
In three sentences USC Upstate is diverse in regards to their faculty and students. The campus is well maintained and policy are enforced to protect it from harm. Finally, there are numerous opportunities for students to get involved on campus.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The campus is extremely safe, there are emergency stations in sight no matter where one is at on campus. Students have to scan their id card to get into parking lots, Dorm buildings, Dorm room floors, and the students actual door room common area. Plus, students have a physical key for their actual dorm, so if an id card is stolen no one can get into their room and the id cards are floor specific so no one from a different floor can get onto other floors unless there are accompanied by someone.
Greek Life I do not know much about Greek Life on campus, there are several fraternities and sororities but there is not Greek Life housing. Any and all Greek Life members live in regular housing or off campus. It is far from the stereotypical Greek Life painted by Animal House.
Clubs and Activities Basically all of the clubs are student ran, and since most students are planning on transferring the clubs lack motivation and appeal.
Great for these types of students The vast majority of students are transfer students, students who are intending on leaving the school in one or two years. Most of the students transfer to USC's main campus in Columbia. I would suggest attending Upstate for a year or two instead of going strait to the Columbia campus because it will save somewhere around ten or fifteen thousand dollars.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus There didn't seem to be any real traditions on campus, the school administration tries to say that students where school colors on Fridays but it rarely happened. There was not a large feeling of school pride on campus.
Bang for the buck The school give out a good amount of financial aid in my opinion, all of my roommates and I had received some form of financial aid, three of us were on full rides.
What to do for fun For fun, my roommate and I mainly watched television/movies and played video games. This seemed to be the trend across campus too. Some students played intramural sports for fun too.
Food and Dining The cafeteria food is below par unless the school has an organized event involving outside guest, in that case the food is pretty good. There are four other places to buy food on campus besides the cafeteria, a pizza, sub, coffee and flat bread stores. This was a very nice amenity because Upstate gives every student $200 to spend at these stores.
Dorm Life The dorms are nice, the housing section I stayed in was built in 2004 so all of the amenities are new. All of the dorms are suite style, but I had a single. So I had my own room but shared a common room and bathroom with four other people.
Academic Rigor The classes where fairly easy for me, a former AP and Honors Classes student. However, the science classes are difficult. I would say the science classes are closer to 4 out of 5 ranking, this is mainly due to the fact that Upstate is mainly a Nursing school.
Tips for prospective students I would recommend that one brings items to entertain themselves with, like a tv or video games. It is very easy to become bored on campus and the few school sponsored activities I attended were less than par in my opinion.
In three sentences I would give USC Upstate a 3.5 out of 5. It is a good school, it has nice housing and good teachers, however there are no exceptional qualities about the school. It is in a small town/city, so there are no real activities to do in the area.

Categories Comments Campus Safety I have always felt safe on USC Upstate's campus. There is a police station on campus and several cops patrol 24 hours, 7 days a week. There are also six emergency call boxes across campus that can alert the police at any time of an emergency or crime. Students & faculty are always alerted through text and email of any threats to our safety. The text alerts are convenient because what student doesn't have their phone with them at all times!? So I would easily rate campus safety a 5 out of 5.
Greek Life Greek Life at Upstate is really active. The several fraternities and sororities not only throw parties but do a great amount of community service. Sometimes they set up tents on campus giving away different little items and sometimes even food! Our Greek Life represents Upstate in an awesome way!
Clubs and Activities USC Upstate offers more than 80 clubs, boards, and sororities/fraternities. It is definitely easy to find a way to get involved. There is something for everyone. Getting involved on campus not only helps you meet new people but it is great for networking during and after college.
Great for these types of students USC Upstate is great for students who don't exactly want or are ready for a larger size campus but don't want a campus too small. Upstate is right in the middle. Class sizes are usually no more than 30-40 students and the student-to-teacher ratio is 18:1. Any student looking for a larger college experience without the cost and size would definitely be a great match for USC Upstate.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus One thing I found unusual at Upstate was the painted rock. Every time the Campus Activity Board wants to announce or promote an event they paint the detail on this huge rock. When a new event rolls around they paint over the old event & this happens about 4 times a year.
Bang for the buck Compared to other colleges, USC Upstate's tuition is reasonable. Considering all of the free amenities, activities and inclusive dining options, it all balances out.
What to do for fun There is almost always something to do on campus. The Student Life committee plans social and education programming throughout the year at Upstate. Every week, multiple times a week, they host live music, comedians, movie nights, dances & parties diversity lectures. During basketball and baseball season there are home games which are a lot of fun and prizes or t-shirts are almost always given away!
Food and Dining I have heard so many horror stories about college dining halls & there horrible food on campus. USC Upstate is not one of those schools. The main dining hall is always buffet style. There are 7 different stations available everyday: made to order, the grill, deli, salad bar, pizza bar, hometown station, and dessert bar. In addition there is also a waffle & cereal station available all day. Along with the main dining hall there are 5 other on campus dining choices: Power Blendz, Sandella's, Sub Connection, Pete's Arena and Jazzman's. Each offer different options such as protein shakes, flatbread sandwiches, subs, pizza and coffee/pastry items. All of the on-campus dining options can be used with the meal plan, which is a really good value!
Dorm Life Living in on campus dorms is a great experience. You meet so many new people and make friends from different places. Both of the dorms, Magnolia & Palmetto Houses, are co-educational. Single and double occupancy is available & the rooms are suite style with 4 people each. This means that each suite has its own bathroom and living room area (which comes with a microwave and fridge!). They offer many amenities to students who stay in the dorms. Some of those include free laundry on every floor, study rooms, computer labs and in-house tutoring. The residence halls are always kept clean. To access the building and each floor/hall your student I.D. is required, so I always felt safe.
Academic Rigor Smaller classes is one of the best perks of USC Upstate. Some classes may be more difficult or easier than others. Because of the small class sizes individualized help is always available. There is also an Academic Support Center on campus. They specialize in finding tutors, study groups and creating a success plan just for you. So if you ever find that the classes are too much to handle, there is always someone there to help
Tips for prospective students Although the campus is smaller than most, the walking distance between classes, dining, and residential halls are spaced out. Being that USC Upstate is in Spartanburg, the upstate of South Carolina, there are lots of rolling hills and steep inclines. I suggest that you plan your class schedule in a way in which you minimize your walking time and distance, possibly by grouping your classes together. I also suggest that you wear comfortable shoes when possible.
In three sentences USC Upstate is a beautiful smaller campus with a lot to offer. Class sizes are small, which is great because teachers are always willing to help. There is always lots to do and explore.

Categories Comments Campus Safety They really go out of their way! there is always a police officer around to help with anything from locked keys to directions.
Greek Life AMAZING i am a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraterninty Inc! and the other divine nine are here as well.
Clubs and Activities Phi Beta Sigma Fraterninty Inc. (i am apart of) the rest don't matter...but we do have them. And if you have a great club or activity you wont to start up bring it to the council and begin!
Great for these types of students any student who like a cozy atmosphere but with big capabilities who wants a great experience and education
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus BBQ with the chancellor is a great way to meet the head of our school as well as a annual freestyle rapping contest that happens every semester and talent show that gives students a chance to show there skills and god given gifts.
Bang for the buck USC Upstate is fairly well especially for the low tuition rates compared to other schools in the area. it is a nice alternative for a transfer student like myself who wanted the college experience without the huge college where its hard to mingle and know everybody.
What to do for fun There are numerous service projects and activities going on on a daily basis and with movie theatres close by and the main mall only 5 minutes away with a built in movie theatre and restaurant there's always something to get into. There are also numerous clubs downtown which i Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys the social life.
Food and Dining The Cafeteria is by far the best place at the school. The buffet style is great and I'm really cool with the chef there he's Greek alumni as well. Pizza Burgers and a salad bar and breakfast station is always available.
Dorm Life I am actually at campus based apartments but have heard that a lot of great activities (parties) go on at the Dorms or TREE HOUSES as well like to call them. (magnolia house=Mag house or the Palmetto House)
Academic Rigor Upstate communication program is full of former faculty who spent years in the field from news broadcaster to movie directors. It is a lot of work but it is very interactive and hands on so its almost like you're not working at all. There are numerous on site opportunities like internship and even working for a tv station on campus!
Tips for prospective students Get to know the Greeks (which i am) they have a world of knowledge about how to really enjoy college life. and stay awake in class, and get to know your teacher!!!
In three sentences USC Upstate is a small school with big activities. USC Upstate Greek life is amazing. Upstate's Cafeteria is amazing

Categories Comments What to do for fun Spartanburg, South Carolina provides many opportunities for its residents to have fun in general. There is no way you can not find anything fun to do around here.
Food and Dining The food is amazing, especially breakfast and soul food Wednesdays!
Dorm Life The dorms rooms are beautiful. Very spacious, you are even able to get your own dorm room to your self!
Academic Rigor USC-Upstate is not a completely rigorous school but it is not an easy fly by school either. Study, study, study!
Tips for prospective students The advice and tips I have for prospective students is to go to class first and foremost. Even if you are late, still go to class. Professors of course take into consideration that you are late but they also look at the fact that you actually came to class instead of just saying oh I'm already late might as well not go. Start reading your material ahead of time. You are going to go over the material in class so if you have already read it, you will be able to participate in more of the in class discussions on the material instead of just sitting there lost. Plus you will get more participation points by just engaging in the discussions. Ask questions. Never be afraid to ask about things that do not make sense to you. Never party during the week when you have classes the next day. Work hard now, play harder later.
In three sentences The University of South Carolina Upstate at first glance is a absolutely beautiful, breath taking sight to see. The administration works with you and helps you achieve your dream degree. I recommend this university to anyone who does not want to go to a huge school where they only know you by a number.

Categories Comments Campus Safety USC Upstate is probably one of the saftest campuses in the country. There is a 24/7 campous secrutiy on staff just to ensure the safty. Also, all around campus there are telephones that connect directly to a campus police operator. These telephones help ensure that hep is always near by. On top of all of that, the campus police are more than happy to walk a student to their dorm or car.
Greek Life From what I have heard, Greek life on campus is a easy way to meet life long friends. The Greek life ensures group study time so that no Greek member is failing a class. There are currently 11 different sororities on campus so there is a sorority for anyone wishing to be a part of it.
Clubs and Activities Although I have not had the chance to join a club or activitey yet, I have heard from current students that the clubs are all fun and intersting.
Great for these types of students USC Upstate is great for any type of student. The amount of activities and organizations that a student and join is quite numerous, so any type of student would feel welcome and accepted.
Bang for the buck Not only is USC Upstate cheaper than most 4 year colleges they also allow its students to many activites for free. The entire Wellness Center, that is only 3 years old, is completly free! Thats right students can work out and get in shape for free. Also, all of the games in the game room are free as well. On top of all of that, Upstate doesnt charge anything for its students to do laundry!
What to do for fun Although I have not yet started school at USC Upstate yet, from what I did during my Freshman Orientation I can tell you that Sparty's lounge to the top hangout there. The juniors and seniors that were there said that the lounge is always packed with students. I can also tell you that many students mess around in the pool at night (like by water basketball).
Food and Dining USC Upstate's food and dinning is pretty good. Although it taste as good as a home cooked meal, it rates right up there with a home cooked meal.
Dorm Life USC Upstate's dorm life is better than most other colleges in the country. Upstate allows their students to choose whether or not they want to share a room or have their own room to themselves. Upstate also allows its students to choose their own roommate.
Academic Rigor Although I have not taken any of USC Upstate's classes yet, their merits and awards speak for themselves. The University has received many difficult and hard to come by awards that most university's spend years trying to get. On top of all of their awards many juniors and seniors say that the classes are challenging but interesting and fun to be in.
Tips for prospective students I would advise future students to look for financial aid prior to getting accepted to the university. I would also advise them to live on campus because of all the activities that are available to the students. Lastly I would advise future students to have their time management skills down before going to college.
In three sentences I personally would rate USC Upstate a 10 out of 10. USC Upstate offers a variety of activities for all of its students. The University also offers a spacious dorm rooms and a many opportunities to get to know your classmates.

Food and Dining once again, i havent really ate on campus due to living off campus.
Dorm Life I'm not exactly sure how dorm living is, ive never lived on campus, but i have been in the buildings and they are very nice, and a short walk from the buildings.

Great for these types of students It is for students that truly love being around other people and having fun at the same time. It is for students who are willing to learn in the classroom and outside of the classroom.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Rocktoberfest: With a festival atmosphere, complete with carnival rides, food, and awesome live music. It gives you an opportunity to party like a rockstar.
Bang for the buck USC Upstate is definitely affordable compare to other colleges. Make sure you take advantage of all the scholarships and grants that are avaliable.
What to do for fun Activities scheduled on campus especially Homecoming, baseball games, and basketball games Join clubs and organizations on campus because there is always something to be done in the community Dorms students: there are always fun activities going on in the Student Center especially the first day of school they give out drinks, snacks, agendas, and posters about what is happening throughout the school year and the semester Wellness Center: Exercise, aerobics, basketball, football, soccer, exercising equipment (cardio and weightlifting) Student Center: a place to hangout and have fun, do homework, share life with friends, view the web and socialize
Food and Dining The food is pretty good, but the meal plan is very expensive.
Academic Rigor USC Upstate has a great variety of teaching methods such as real-life scanerios, lectures, experiments, and actually being involved with the major you are in by going to a place of employment and asking questions about how things work.

Categories Comments What to do for fun To be honest, not a whole lot. I am not originally from this area so I have a hard time finding things to do. That could be due to the fact that I don't live in the dorms and I am only at school long enought to go to class and leave.
Food and Dining Can't say, I eat at home and I am generally not there long enough to eat.
Dorm Life Can't say, I live off campus.
Academic Rigor I am going on my fourth semester here, the first two semesters I took 15 credit hours and the last semester I took 12 and I have had no problems with any classes or the course load. The 12 credit hour semester I am some personal things come up otherwise I would have taken 15.
Tips for prospective students If you school sporting events and things of that nature are one of the things what want to experience during college, this is probably not the school for you. Decent school for the money though. This is the first and only college I have attended and so far I have not came across too many teachers that are bad apples. Don't be afraid to speak your mind during class and ask questions! You are after all, PAYING to be there unlike high school. Just try and think your question through and word it in a semi-intelligent manner.
In three sentences Overall, a fairly decent school. No major sports teams to get the student body energized like bigger schools. Fairly easy to get around, especially for new students.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Upstate has its own registered police men and women on campus 24/7. There are emergency booths situated all over campus, and we have safety rooms to go to if an emergency arises.
Greek Life I'm not much into Greek life, but I do know that Upstate has many Fraternities and Sororities. There is a no hazing policy for both Fraternities and Sororities, and all groups are nonracial (any ethnic group can join), regardless of the group's ethnic origin.
Clubs and Activities We do not have as many events as the bigger universities do, but when we do have an on campus event, there is always a huge turnout. Just recently we had a talent show, and the area was so packed we could not allow any other people to enter the theatre.
Great for these types of students If you are an environmentalist or a person who appreciates a good talk with friends as well as peaceful time to yourself, this is the place for you.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Upstate has a Peace Park on campus. It is a very beautiful area with a creek connected to a small pond with wooden bridges and statues created by Upstate students.
Bang for the buck USC Upstate currently is one of the most affordable colleges in South Carolina. Tuition is around $13,000 a year (impressive, isn't it?).
Food and Dining Upstate has a great cafeteria with a variety of foods to choose from. If you ever get tired of The Caf, you can try out our three other restaurants on campus: Jazzman's Cafe, Subway connections and Sandella's, all of witch have a great food variety.
Dorm Life Dorm life is great for the most part. The people here realize how valuable education is, and do not clown around like they would at most bigger universities. Upstate also takes out the time to match up students by not only their major but their likes and overall interests.
Academic Rigor Upstate has teachers that care about your education and will work with you in order to help you pass the course. There are tutors on campus that have taken the coursed that they tutor, and will gladly help you out with any problems that you may have.
Tips for prospective students Class sizes are small, so you can better understand and relate to your teacher. You can also better relate to your classmates, which is very helpful when it comes to making study groups. Just remember: like with all colleges, Upstate is much different than High school. You will be using a lot more of your time studying than you ever had in college. But as long as you keep the material fresh in your head by studying daily, you should do fine.
In three sentences USC Upstate is the perfect place for people who love the country or just love nature. It is also a place known for easily making new friends. If you like a calm environment where your education comes first, Upstate is the best choice for you.

Categories Comments What to do for fun So many clubs to choose from, so little time. Also, there's always something happening in Spartanburg.
Food and Dining Well, there is a lot of health food so I would not say it is entirely appealing. However, there are restaurants on campus that serve delicious pizza and tacos. I normally stop at the coffee shop on campus.
Dorm Life It is okay, though not really favorable. It is cheaper to live off of campus.
Academic Rigor Integrity and honor should always be adhered to. Being able to face the challenges presented in academia is a must. Generally, never give up.
Tips for prospective students In regards to college, I would say to always know when things are due. Also, I don't recommend skipping classes, especially when flu season comes around.

Categories Comments Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus visiting the fountain in front of the old administration building at the front of campus with friends is kind of tradition
What to do for fun You have to find your own fun around here. Make friends, attend CAB sponsored events, visit events in the CLC, hit the Health & Education complex for a workout class.
Food and Dining I was't a big fan of on campus foods until I moved off campus. I love Sandella's panini's & Jazzmen's Cafe for a quick pick-up during the day.
Dorm Life Can be entertaining, but it was too sheltered for me. I do think it's something every Upstate student should experience though, to get to know the campus & other students.
Academic Rigor Your a college student, so its in your hands. Course load depends on the professor & your work ethic. I can't really recall a professor reaching out after I have missed an assignment or a few days of class.
Tips for prospective students If your an incoming freshman or will be living on campus bring your walking shoes. The hill from the dorms to actual campus is pretty steep & all the steps from the Health Complex to the upper quad aren't much better. Definently get to know your professors & people in your major, because from my experience I have ended up with many of the same mates & professors each semester.
In three sentences This is a great University with a beautiful campus. They try to keep campus life vibrant, even though as students we aren't always into the programs. Great range of classes, and you will come across some real gems as far as professors go & some rocks, but I believe it's that way on any campus.

Dorm Life Dorms are huge! Big living room, big rooms, big bathrooms, what more can you ask for?
Academic Rigor All the professors are most certainly qualified. They all want to help you succeed.
Tips for prospective students The dorms are suite style and huge. If you're a science major don't freak out about the information being thrown to you, just study everyday and you'll be fine. Get involved and meet a lot of new people to make your college experience fun.

Greek Life The greek life is fun, and not as expensive as other schools.
Clubs and Activities We have a ton of clubs, but most of the activities are boring and don't get a huge crowd.
Great for these types of students This school is great for a student who wants to go to a small school and doesn't have a car. Everything is in walking distance.
What to do for fun I am on a athletic team so I don't get to do many things. When I do have time I go play in the gym, or go to the events held by the campus.
Food and Dining The Dining room is nice and small. They always have the same thing, and don't have many healthy options. It gets old after awhile.
Dorm Life The dorms are nice and clean. They come with all the things you need minus a TV. You only share your bathroom with your roomates which is nice. The only reason why I didn't give them a 5 was because the snack machines don't have any health snacks or something we can have if we miss dinner.
Academic Rigor The teachers are mostly nice, and care about their students without babying them. The classes are challenging but in a good way.
Tips for prospective students For students looking to come here, the school is small. The dining area is good but nothing spectacular. There is also not much to do in Spartanburg. If you aren't going to join a team or club, then I would think about another school.

Food and Dining Upstate has five main places to eat. There is the buffet style cafeteria, and three on campus restaurants and a coffee shop that close at five everyday (Jazzman's, Wholly Habanero, and Sub Connection) except for one restaurant that closes at 10pm (Sandella's).
Dorm Life The dorms at upstate are fairly knew and are a great size for incoming freshman. These dorms offer both double and single rooms. There are also the on campus apartments called the villas. These are for the upper classmen that want a more fulfilled on campus living. The villas are complete with a kitchen and a shower in each bedroom. The single and double options are also available for these rooms as well.
