If you're thinking about attending UST, take a tour. You may think you know the school well, but once you get on campus and see everything it has to offer, you'll be glad you took one. You're first semester will be tough academically and socially. Get involved in extracurriculars that interest you whether it be an intramural team or club. It's where you'll meet some of your best friends. Everyone is going through the same thing. Don't be afraid to branch out and take risks.

It is up to you whether $44,000 a year is worth these things or if you would rather spend your money elsewhere. I find the engineering program to be good, but I can't say you are getting a better education than a public school would offer.
» Read MoreGet out and join at least three clubs you are interested in, but do not over-extend yourself! Each club requires at least 1-2 hours of volunteering per semester, and many require up to 14+. Many clubs also meet at the same time (during convo hour), so be careful!
