The city of Burlington has so much to do! There's the waterfront of Lake Champlain, Church Street (a pedestrian walk!), a few small concert venues, and tons of shops and boutiques. Burlington is also just 90 minutes out of Montreal by car.

There is so much to do for fun at UVM. Students love to smoke and drink but that's only the beginning. Go to the local woods for a hike, harass the outing club until they let you take a trip with them, climb trees on Redstone, walk around Burlington for take a ski bus to your favorite slope in the winter. There is no shortage of things to do here for people who will just leave their dorms.

Burlington, Vermont is gorgeous! Head down to Church Street - by city bus, bike, car, or a nice walk - and enjoy a wide variety of coffee shops, restaurants, tea shops, and boutiques. I love Muddy Waters and Uncommon Grounds - both beautiful coffee shops. My absolute favorite thing to do off-campus is to visit Lake Champlain. You can stroll on the lakeside park or go for a swim. There are always plenty of events going on on-campus. I love being here!

There is always something to do on campus or in Burlington. There are always concerts to attend, or new restaurants to try, or just things to do with your friends.

There are an unlimited number of events going on. On campus there are often events such as concerts, comedians, and even hypnotist shows. There are also many game rooms and several gyms for those of you who are fitness enthusiasts. If you can't find something you want to do on campus there are also events that go on downtown like farmer's markets, open mike nights, street performers, concerts, you name it. There is always something fun to do.

The city of Burlington offers a ton of things to do in your spare time, and UVM offers tons of student run organization and clubs to get involved in. On the weekends, it is always fun to go out to any one of the many ski and snowboard mountain resorts in the area. Burlington sits right along Lake Champlain, so during the hotter months it is always fun to get outside and swim, paddle board or boat!

Burlington is full of opportunities! In the Fall you can enjoy all that Lake Champlain has to offer - boating, kayaking, swimming at North Beach and more. On a typical Saturday I will go to the shopping center downtown and explore the weekly farmers market to try yummy samples and contribute to the local economy. There are tons of unique stores as well as common malls within walking distance from the dorms. You can also explore other fall activities like apple picking and hiking around the green mountains. Winter sports are also a huge deal. Student discounts for season passes to the mountains are available and highly popular. This is just a very short list of fun activities. There is so much to do that the question is more, what can't you do?
