The college environment is fantastic, as is Burlington itself. Both the school and town have great people living in it that make being there fantastic.
» Read MoreI love everything. The people are nice, the teachers are amazing, and there are a lot of things to learn. I only dislike the cold.

UVM attracts a certain type of person (outdoorsy, environmentally friendly, and fun loving) but those people are exactly what makes UVM a good time and awesome place to go to school.

There is so much going on here, from the music scene, to the art scene, to the outdoors and to the slopes. No matter ones personality there is always a group of students they will find a common interest. Burlington makes a huge effort to be eco-friendly and that is obvious both downtown and at UVM. City Market (a grocery store) is a great place to find wholesome foods that are both organic and local. Places such as Muddy Waters and Uncommon Ground are terrific coffee joints where one can study while enjoying a delicious ginger beet smoothie or a plate of hummus and veggies. The UVM campus is amazing. The beautiful flowers and green lawns are evident throughout the year, unless of course the snow is covering them up! The Outing Club at UVM offers great opportunities to get off campus and explore Vermont. For those out of staters this is a wonderful chance to go hiking or canoeing at an affordable price. Programs offered by the club allow students to further their interest in the outdoors and to learn better leadership skills. As I mentioned earlier the professors are really down to earth and approachable, the students also have a laid back attitude and it is extremely easy to make a multitude of close friends.
