Charlottesville has the nice small town, close-knit feeling, but the community is so cultured and diverse that it never gets boring. And if you like the mountains, UVa's right next door. I've never felt like there wasn't anything to do on the weekends.

» Read MoreThe whole campus is gorgeous. I'm not a current student so I can't speak for much else, but there's so much to do in Charlottesville as well as surrounding areas (close to D.C., the ocean, the mountains....).
» Read MoreI absolutely love it here. There is so much to do around grounds, around Charlottesville, and in the surrounding areas when you are not studying. From the corner to the downtown mall to hiking humpback rock, there's something fun and interesting for everyone to do. Many people also join a fraternity or a sorority and become a part of Greek life at UVA, which also provides a whole other outlet to meet new people and partake in fun activities. However, there is no need to join Greek life to meet new people, because you're constantly meeting new people.
