The great thing about UVA is that it is a public research university - meaning its resources attract the big names in most fields of study. This is great for you, the student, because you get to learn under such academics as Rita Dove and Larry Sabato. A caveat: UVA has a single sanction Honor Code. If you lie, cheat, or steal, you will be tried by a jury of your peers and if found guilty of a non-trivial offense, you will be expelled.     The University of Virginia is the quintessential southern public ivy. It offers the best of the best when it comes to academic opportunities, a community of passionate scholars, and a place to call home. UVA so far has been the best decision of my life, with all its quirky traditions and amazing student body.

    I had just visited the college as a prospective student and i have to say it's absolutely amazing! The campus is beautiful, and all the buildings are indescribable. This is one campus you have to experience for yourself in order to see what a perfect school looks like.

    UVA is a place where people work hard and play hard. It has a small feel but has lots of opportunities no matter what you're interested in. Charlottesville, VA is a beautiful town and UVA is the most attractice university you will ever visit.

    UVA is the perfect collegiate experience-its big enough to have a solid Greek system, fun social scene, good athletics, and a lot of academic opportunities, while still being a manageable size. It has the highest level of academics, and you can study anything due to the broad range of majors. UVA also has a great history and lots of traditions, including an obsession with Thomas Jefferson!
