There lots of inter mural sports to help you keep you active. A lot of the bars in town also hold different leagues for baseball, darts, volleyball, and pool. There is also: bowling, movies, and hiking trails to explore.

Hike the bluff! It's absolutely gorgeous, and as long as you're aware of your surroundings and climb safely, it's great fun. Downtown offers a variety of options for shopping, restaurants, and miscellaneous tasks. All of the dorm halls have lounges in the basement and often have small lounges when you walk in the lobby. These are great for hanging out with friends.

There is down hill skiing, snow shoeing, canoe, beaches, cross country skiing, hiking, bicycle trails, a good transit system that students ride for free. A ton of gyms, UW-L games, The Coulee Region Chill ice hockey games. Theater on campus with many good plays. At least one national recording act comes to campus a year.

This is one of La Crosse's biggest draws, there is a lot to do, they have an amazing recreational center, the downtown is only a short walk or drive. Also the other is way off of campus is the bluffs, which prove to be a great place to take a day and hike up to, and not far from the campus is a beautiful marsh, which can prove to be and enjoyable hike
