Get involved in whatever you may be interested if you have the time. There are numerous clubs and there are campus activities going on every week. Also, make as many friends as you can and start a study group for a few classes.

I recommend that prospective students who actually come to Platteville do not waste their money on the new dorms. Although the traditional dorms do not have the same perks they are way closer to campus and you can save a lot of money! The other nice thing about the University of Wisconsin-Platteville is that it is a lot cheaper than other universities. It is a great college!

Prospective students should definitely visit the campus once or twice before deciding to come here, as the small town and small campus is not for everyone. Prospective students should also make sure Platteville has the program they desire to go in to. Also, prospective students should look at organizations they would like to be involved in and be prepared to start joining them right when school begins.
