    Prospective students should get to know their advisers and professors in the department for their major right away. Getting to know them opens up a lot of opportunities. Also, joining clubs and organizations is a great way to keep busy and meet people interested in the things you are.

    Get used to not being in a big city-if lived in one in the past. Classes are a bit of a walk but are a good tool to get some exercise! Professors are very welcoming and are helpful.
