Around Town

There is a lot to do for fun around River Falls. There is multiple restaurants, bowling alleys, bars, shops, and tons of walking paths that many people skateboard or roller blade on. There is something to do every night without repeating what you have already done.

There are a lot of state parks around the area and nature trails. Main street has nice places to eat and see movies. The campus offers great opportunities to get to know other students.

There's always campus activities going on like football, basketball, hockey games. River Falls also has a nice little downtown with a bunch of cute shops and cafes. The community really is a nice place, and it's not far from the Twin Cities if you want to visit a bigger city.

For me, my fun lies with the UWRF Rodeo Team. I travel to 4 states in the midwest to compete on the rodeo team. I've met so many people on campus and at other regional schools.

Lots of clubs and activities. We are also close to the Twin Cities so many kids go there on the weekends.

There are hundreds of activities and intramural sports from open hockey to broom ball. There are tons of sports teams and football games are always a blast. The library is open late for bookworms, and downtown River Falls has plenty of great family-owned stores and restaurants, and Hudson is just eight miles out, if you can find a ride! Also, we have the only rodeo club in the Midwest and there are shows going on throughout the year that you can catch.

There are plenty of trails to walk/run, downtown stores and restaurants to window shop, and a river to visit.

There are intramural sports teams to join to stay active and meet new people. There is also open recreation, where there is an open track, basketball hoops, and a rock climbing wall. In all the dorms there is a blu-ray room to watch movies with your friends. The cities isn't very away either, so it's easy to go shopping or out to eat.

Like I mentioned earlier River Falls has so many extra circular activities. Also, another plus is that because River Falls is a smaller town, and community events are popular for students to participate in and vice versa. Also, River Falls has a nationally ranked rodeo team, which they perform often.

The best part is that the cities are only 30 minutes away! Another fun thing is the movie theater that is only 3 dollars to see.
