Around Town

Being in the wonderful City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia, there is ALWAYS something to do. It's impossible to become bored in this city.

Being that the school is in the middle of Philadelphia, there are so many different things students can do here. Not only are there tons of student activities and social events throughout the semesters, but it is so easy to venture off campus and visit other local school or even Center City, which is just a trolley ride away.

The gym is fancyyyyyyyyyyy, cardio on the top floor, ping pong and pool on the first floor, and a weight room in the basement. There use to be a pool, but since people barely used it, the university decided to make it into a chill room (I can't wait to see how it turns out!).

I commute

Join a club definitely. Clubs are the best way to interact with other students and learn about your campus. Try not to get too in over your head with parties or anything because you might end up failing an important exam due to not studying 2 weeks in advance for it.

UPENN campus is literally 5-10minutes walking distance, so it should be easy to go out. Center city (shopping & dining) is close enough to just take a trolley to. Work out at the ARC-gym?

The campus has little to no activities unless on special occasions, such as spirit week and welcome weekend/week. There are event on neighboring universities, but due to our lack of communication with these universities, we never really know when there are events.

Join clubs, it gives you chance to meet others with similar interests. Get together with friends, lots of eating areas around the neighborhood.

Because there is a non-stop studying habit, people usually choose to get wasted at parties as soon as they get a test out of the way because the know that the next day they have to start the process over again. There is a movie theater nearby. People go to church for fun. There's a nice gym. Sit down in the quad.
