Around Town

Valpo is not a suitcase college, so there's always plenty of people around on the weekends, and plenty of stuff going on. There's sports games open to all of the students, video game tournaments, and movie nights. Excluding the quiet places where you can study, you'll never find yourself completely alone on campus without anything to do.

What I do for fun is mainly getting involved on campus and go different events that organizations plan. I was an executive member of a club so I was sometimes busier than others but I still went to a lot of other events held on campus. Most of them were quite enjoyable. If not on campus, the movies are near the school, sometimes I shop or go out to eat, or just go outside when the weather permits to play Frisbee or something. The campus can sometimes have nothing going on on the weekends but I me and my friends found ways to entertain ourselves.

There are all kinds of little shops in Uptown Valpo. There is also the movie theatre and the Zao's Island. All great things to do with friends.

The mall is not very far, there is a theatre that you can take a bus to. Night life is fun on campus too.

For fun, I leave campus and go home. There's not much to do around campus unless you have your own car, or you wait for the VLine transportation that runs in the afternoons and nights.

there is a lot to do in the surrounding neighborhood. plus, the neighborhood is safe, so its cool to even just go for a walk!

There is almost always something going on on-campus. Social dance lessons, Zumba, sports, we have our own little art museum on campus. Also ping pong and Foosball and pool in dorms and in the union.

There is so much to do for fun. Downtown Valpo is just a short walk away and there are plenty of shops there. The game room in the union is also a great place to go and have fun. UPC is always putting on some fun event to participate in. Also, the frats throw plenty of parties on the weekends which are also fun to attend.

Not much unless you're into humans vs. zombies. Not many big parties also.
