Join one of 300+ student organizations, check out a sporting event, visit downtown Nashville, go see live music... this is Music City.

Vanderbilt is in the center of Nashville, the famous music city. There is so much to do here that most students cannot finish it all before they graduate. There are concerts every day and night, parties on campus, Greek date parties and formals, bars for those over 21, a couple local malls and movie theaters, and tons of other fun campus events. You will never be bored here at Vanderbilt!

Vanderbilt is located in downtown Nashville, so the night life is amazing. There are also really amazing stores to shop at located nearby and afterwards you can enjoy the plethora of restaurants surrounding the campus.

Nashville is famous for it's music scene. Yes it is mostly country but there are enough venues that anyone can find some music that they enjoy.

Greek is big here; just less than 50% of Vandy students are Greek, and it dominates a lot of the school culture. If you're not Greek, but you still like to party, you head to the frats. You could go downtown to the honky tonks (tons of fun!), but for some reason people don't...if you're not a partier, a lot of the lower-key social events happen through student orgs.

You're in the middle of Nashville! So there's lots of stuff there. They seem to have a lot of different on-campus events, too.

Many people like to go out, but for the gaming geeks like me, we prefer to use the huge lecture hall computers and projectors for late-night movies and Call of Duty gaming sessions!!!

Nash-vegas. There are several close-by movie theaters, shopping centers, sports facilities, restaurants /bars. Then, there's always downtown Nashville which is great during the day for shopping, and fun for Vanderbilt students at night to dance, sing karaoke, or just hang out.

That's hard to answer. It depends on what you want to do. Downtown is not far away, parties are every day, events are every day....you have to pick and choose

Live music. Especially country. Explore Nashville! It is truly an incredible city with a ton going on. Very interesting arts scene in East Nashville, awesome museums and clubs. It isn't missing much.
