Vanderbilt is often confused with one of them Ivy League schools up in Connecticut or wherever, but with good reason. If you choose to attend the prestigious Vanderbilt University then you will receive a very fine education from professors who want you to succeed in acing their classes, reaching your goals, and finding your future. Professors will make time for you outside of class if you do not understand the material; they put themselves in our lives to teach us and they desperately want us to learn. The work at Vandy is not at all easy, but...

First off, the campus is beautiful. I went for their MOSAIC weekend and the students were very nice and welcoming. If invited, I would encourage everyone to attend MOSAIC.

It is No. 17 based on US News Best College Rankings for various aspects of what people want out of a college and graduation rate and retention performance, etc. It has invaluable research opportunities for those seeking great opportunities to further their education in their field. Vanderbilt offers a safe environment, superfluous options in dining, and spectacular opportunities to become the best you.

As a current graduate student at Vanderbilt I can attest to the difficulty in getting admitted. However, once you begin you will be glad that you chose a great university. The professors are encouraging and supportive, and the environment is conducive for success.

Vanderbilt University is one of the best Universities in the nation, both academically and socially. The school however is one of the only top 20 Universities that has grade deflation instead of grade inflation. The university is, by and far, the best school I have ever attended or visited.

Vanderbilt is a really exciting and academically challenging school. The campus is beautiful and there are so many opportunities to get involved on campus. Plus, it is located in the heart of Nashville, one of the most amazing cities in the country so there is always something to do!

Vanderbilt is a great school for anyone who is up for the challenge. It has a reputation for being rich and preppy, and honestly there are plenty of people that fit that description, but there is a lot more to campus life - and its students- than that. If you take the challenge, just be ready to life up to our un-official motto: work hard, play harder.

I cannot review the whole university, as my experience is limited to the School of Nursing masters program. This is a highly regarded program in the nursing field, and has the reputation of producing excellent, competent, job-ready advanced practice nurses. The downside to this is that the program is not just accelerated, but VERY intense, and while the instruction/clinical guidance is excellent, the logistical/administrative side of things is VERY disorganized at VUSN.

With its bright green quads filled with shady trees, frisby games, and students studying Vandy is the quintessential campus. It gives off that college feel, which is why I fell in love with it.
