Do amazing on your Your Space it is very important to do it because it gives another perspective of you. Find your niche if you are the star athlete, band geek, financial wiz or drama star make sure you show you are the best one in the country. Colleges like Vassar are now requiring you be a well rounded student, but also that you can bring something special to the campus. For me I was an overachieving minority with few opportunities to succeed, but still did the best with what little I had.

I definitely recommend visiting Vassar before sealing the deal; however, its not absolutely required. Vassar's website does a great job with capturing the campus' beauty through its pictures. Also, try to stay overnight if you can. Believe me, there are always activities going on at night that could greatly influence your decision to attend Vassar.

Try to make your application stand out. In the About Me section include something that shows why you would be a great addition to the school.

Don't over pack, some of the rooms aren't that big. Don't worry too much about fitting in, you will find a group of people you will most likely love and hang out with. Don't be afraid to talk to the faculty, they are more than willing to help, especially the financial aid department.

Still not sure if the idea of a small liberal arts school is for you? Take a visit and sit in on a class to see if you can really picture yourself here. Because it's a private liberal arts school, it can be pretty competitive to get in. I recommend engaging in activities and taking leadership roles. Of course, doing good in school is a given, but if you really express how interested you are in this school and how you see yourself fitting in at Vassar, you should be great!
