» Read MoreVentura College is a good, lower cost JC for students who are willing to put in the effort and don't expect the faculty to hold their hands through the classes. All the instructors I've had try to be available especially through e-mail and are pretty good at responding within 48 hr. Don't expect it have the experiences you see in the media, the student there care more about getting through than making new friends they are party with though most are usually friendly and easy to work with.

» Read MoreI think Ventura college is a accepting campus with a lot diversity in race, sex, and personal style. I believe that some of the teachers are extremely helpful and from those kinds of teachers I have learned things that I will carry with me forever. I also have found Ventura College campus to be welcoming and inviting and the LRC is a nice place to do work and study with friends even though sometimes it gets a little noisy.
