Around Town

VCU is located in a city, there are countless things to do.

Commons game room with different playing games, movie theatre and different events. It is always a lot of fun to watch different athletic events

The gym is the best thing to do on campus. Monroe park is in the middle of campus which is also a plus. Students could also hang with friends around the compass. Of course their are the basketball games.

I read a lot and hang out with friends. Video games are fun, too.

Since VCU is in the city, you have so many things to do. The school offers free public transportation through the public bus. If you utilize this you can go to Carytown and visit the cute shops or the science museum a few miles away. VCU also offers some student activities to do over the weekend.

Just walk around. There is something around every corner. The Anderson Gallery is a small museum on campus which offers free admission and features student art. Belle Isle is a beautiful rocky island on the James River where students hang out all day long. There's even a rock climbing wall there. Brown's Island, (right next to Belle Isle), offers free concerts every weekend during the summer. There are concert halls and bars with live music and museums everywhere. Just step outside your door and you'll find something to do in Richmond.

It's in the city so there is a lot of things to do for fun! And you can walk everywhere so that makes it very convenient. So many parks, museums, and fun-filled festivities all around.

There are numerous clubs and organizations at VCU for everybody! You will never be bored at VCU, especially with the activities at the nearby Monroe Park. There is the Siegel Center where basketball games are held. The Cary St. gym has an underground pool and jacuzzi, a rock climbing wall, indoor soccer field, and they also offer yoga and zumba classes!

The city of Richmond is abundant with entertainment and spectacular activities. Besides a multitude of physical things to do, social life flourishes with a large music scene and a lot of people desiring the same thing at the school.
