This is up to the individual since fun is a matter of preference and perspective, but the University clubs, programs, and the city of Richmond offer incredible variety. VCU works with Richmond to let its students know of events that are upcoming. If academia is your thing, there is no shortage of intellectual meetings to attend.

VCU is located in a city so what can you not do? There is numerous places to eat with a variety of foods. I think our gym is very entertaining place to go to because we have basketball courts, swimming pool with a slide, a rock wall, and ect. We also have a park called Monroe part, where you can just sit out and enjoy the environment on a nice day.

Considering the fact that this college is in the middle of a city, there's no lack of things to do. If clubs are your thing (personally, they're not mine, but to each his own), then there's no lack of them. If you'd like to go shopping for used clothing or new clothing alike, there are several stores. If you're of age to smoke or drink, there are plenty of shops of that sort here. All the same, the community is otherwise very safe and friendly, making for a great location to go for walks, runs, or bike rides alike, should you so desire. There's a gym on campus, and while it's in a very, very old building, the inside has been totally renovated, and it offers a wide variety of machines and other exercise equipment. There's also the student commons, below which there exists a small room called The Break Point. In the Break Point, students can do anything from play games on available consoles, play pool, play foosball, enjoy the company of friends, or just relax and do some work in a welcoming environment. As said before, there's no lack of things to do in the city of Richmond, Virginia.

The campus hosts many events from it's Greek Life and other student organizations. There are many things to do and recreational activities and sports held on and around the campus that any student can get involved in. Not only that, but places on the VCU campus, like the underground Commons break room have other things to enjoy while meeting new people or hanging out with friends.

City living means a few things: clubs, parties and everything being relatively close. There's a $2 movie theater about 20 minutes away. The river is another 20 minutes away which is perfect for the beautiful weather and boring days. Night life is always a blast with house-parties, clubs, and sponsored events. VCU always has different events and programs going throughout the spring and fall semesters. Be open to new things and there is always a chance for fun.

On hot days, everyone hangs outside and swinging on hammocks at Monroe Park or at the compass. There's a lot of clubs in the area, if that's what you're into. A lot of parties go on.

Basketball games! They are the most insanely thing you can do. Walking a short distance down to the river let the nature loving personality be let lose. Chilling outside by the dorms is also a great time to relax and talk with friends.

In Richmond, there's mostly clubs and restaurants, so if you want something different you may have to drive or get creative. VCU usually tries to have stuff going on also. You can also check out the Facebook page for your class and see if anything is going on (i.e. a snowball fight in Monroe Park).
