Meet extraordinary people. Roanoke is a very small place so don't expect a lot to do.

There are various opportunities, such as basketball and soccer teams. Sometimes there will be indoor dodgeball or soccer in the gymnasium. The Student Center has other fun activities at various times.

Plenty of outdoor activities if your into hiking, biking, running etc. Movies, bowling, many recreation idea available through the school.

The campus always tries really hard to get the students involved in extra activities.

Virginia Western offers classes that are a lot of fun. Public speaking, Sociology, yoga, are some of my favorites that I met some amazing friends and enjoyed some time away from the nursing books!

Virginia Western has many different clubs you can join, so there's always something to meet your needs. There are also a number of recreational and school sports teams you can be a part of, like volleyball, basketball, etc. Health and PE classes are optional, and offer things like yoga, zumba, bowling, etc. Since it's a community college, you don't have the option of things like Greek Life, game rooms, and things of that nature, but it doesn't mean there aren't other options available if you just look!

Go to the library and study of course.

They have a lot of sports to choose from, as well as PED classes they offer, such as yoga, fresh water fishing, hiking, martial arts, self defense, ect.

They have huge computer screens you can plug your laptop into, it would be good for studying or watching movies in your free time. It is also close to downtown Roanoke where there is lots of things to do.

I do not know much about the student activities but there are regular e-mails the school sends out to make students aware of activities that are coming up. One one the activities are movie nights (for free) at the college.
