Categories Comments Great for these types of students Music majors; we have a tremendous music department. Education majors; heard to be the best in the surrounding area, all but positive news about this field. Missions minors; there is a missionary training program located behind Warner.
Tips for prospective students If you're looking for a small school this is where to go. I dont want to say thats its a religious school but we do believe in God and if religion or Christianity scares you then reconsider. The people are great and the professors are top notch but experiencing it on your own will help you the most than reading reviews.
Bang for the buck It is an expensive school because it is a private university, but its well worth it. There isnt much to do outside of the campus so its up to you to make your own fun. But besides the entertainment, academics wise; its definitely worth your money. The professors challenge you and stretch you sometimes. But you overall have to have the willingness to do good.
Am enjoying being here With such a small campus, you are able to get to know everyone. Everyone knows you and its easy to get along with everyone. There are many different events that Student Life coordinates that are very fun and an awesome way to get to know other people in your school. Clubs are being started around campus and you're bound to find someone that you are similiar to on campus.
Am learning a lot The teachers at Warner University are very intelligent and caring people. With the small amount of students enrolled here, each student is able to recieve that attention if needed. And teachers are willing to help any way they can to see the student succeed. Some teachers are different and are just lectured based at that point its up to you to make the most out of your education.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Student athletes, education, social work, ministry, and business majors. Those are our top majors. If you are an education major you are promiced a job teaching when you graduate because they have a 100% placement rate. The education program and the social work programs are phenominal.
Tips for prospective students Apply and get to know your admissions counselor because they are so helpful. Your scholarship award amount it sent to you with your acceptance letter, but that is just the base number. If you are considering Warner you should take a tour as well, and talk to some professors of your major. That really helped me make my decision.
Bang for the buck For a private, Christian school, Warner is really reasonably priced. The also give out great academic and athletic scholarships. They work really hard to give every student a scholarship, and the financial aid people work with you to help you afford the school. I can attend Warner for less than what I would pay to go to a state university.
Am enjoying being here The Student Government Association always has things going on during the weekends and most of the activities are free. The students, staff, and professors are all really friendly and kind. It's so easy to make friends here. Even though Warner is in Lake Wales and there is not much to do there, chances are the school is hosting an activity that night, or your friends have plans to do something fun.
Am learning a lot The classes that I am required to take as a freshman like University experience and Christian Thought are fairly easy with little homework. The classes and interesting and I'm learning in them. All of the professors are really caring and honestly want you to learn. Classes are small, which is great because you can always ask questions. The professors are always willing to help you outside of class if you need additional assistance.

Categories Comments Campus Safety they are very good. the secruity is driving around and walking around all of the time!! they are very good at protecting the students here at wu. my friend came to visit me and he got to my school around 10 pm and security actually followed him until he got to my dorms and then they came up to him and asked him what he was doing there. i came out and cleard things up.
Greek Life we don't really have greek life. we do have two different social clubs for each gender, which is pretty close to the same thing. i was actually involved with one of the girls social groups but i didn't really like it. when i was in it we didn't do much of anything but this year they have done a lot more. you do have to rush but its not that bad, depending on which club you join. ha-ha
Great for these types of students christians, christ followers, or anyone who might be interested in learning more about the christian beliefs. also if you dont really like the party atmosphere this school is great for you. there has been some problems with partying and stuch but they have been cracking down on it. you actually have to sign a life style agreement before you take your classes. no alcohol, drugs, or premarrital sex. honestly, they cant really stop you from doing any of that stuff on your on time but they are pretty strict on campus, or at least they try to be. it has happened on campus before but they are getting harsher with that.
Bang for the buck the school is a private institution but compared to other private universities they are cheap. plus you truly get what you pay for. the education is very good and the professors truly are the best i have had. it is cheaper to live at home with your parents but if you compare living on your own off campus to living on campus its about the same with bills and such. they are very good at giving very student some kind of financial aid too. they have tons of jobs on campus as well, however they fill up fast so get to school early or start emailing the different departments before you actually move in in order to get a job lined up on campus.
What to do for fun they have things that go on most weekends that sga puts on where they have free food and give away prizes and have games and competitions. we have a hang out/lounge area call the sub where we have pool tables, table tennis/ping-pong, snack foods, and video games as well as huge plasma tvs. there isn't much to do close off campus but we aren't too far from tampa and orlando. the beach is about 30-45 min drive as well.
Food and Dining the food is decent. they always have a salad bar, pizza bar, sandwich bar, waffle bar and cereal available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. the hours they are open is very good too. they are only closed for like a hour in between each food time to prepare for the next meal. they also have 3 major lines to choose from, healthy, ethnic, and the normal lunch. they usually have different kinds of deserts available during each meal time. on sunday mornings they have an omelet bar which is really good.
Dorm Life the dorms here are great. unlike many other universities you actually get to have a person relationship with your r.d. they truly care about getting to know each student individually. the r.a.s have been great each year as well. i didn't not give it 5 starts because it can get pretty loud at times and there is some drama as well. but you will get that where ever you go.
Academic Rigor the professors are very hands on and truly have your best interest at hand. they are very understanding and help you out as much as you can. warner has a very good reputation when it comes to the students who have graduated and how they are prepare for the work force. they eduction program is very difficult but it is also one of the top programs. most of the seniors get jobs before they even finish their internship. the 2 years i have been here every teacher ed. student has graduated and had a job right a way working as a full time teacher and those who got subbing jobs chose that type of job.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The campus safety is not exactly state of the art.
Greek Life The Greek life is great on this campus. They are places where you can feel accepted without being judged and the participants are always willing to help.
Clubs and Activities The clubs (also known as Greek life) on campus are epic. However, there is nothing to do in Lake Wales and the activities that the school provides are mostly for sports oriented people.
Great for these types of students Education is the best major you could be in for this school but business is a close second.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Battle for the Paddle is the most anticipated tradition on campus. Warner and Webber International University students compete against each other in athletic tournaments to win the paddle for their school to display for an entire year.
Bang for the buck The bang for your buck factor really depends upon your major. Education and Business majors can do fairly well here. But many of the other majors need more opportunities.
What to do for fun Warner is not in a region that has many things to do and while student life tries cremate activities, it is only enough if you like sports.
Food and Dining The food is literally unidentifiable. While they may have bought it fresh, it doesn't seem that way when they put it out on the serving trays.
Dorm Life Dorm life is pretty good. Williams Hall is really roomy, however, the carpets and ac units needed to be changed a long time ago. The biggest thing with utilities though are the washers and dryers that are out of order or are so old that they hardly do anything. The RA's in William's, while great people, allow the girls in the hall to much leeway. There where boys in the hall way past open dorm hours and violent arguments would break out in the lobby.
Academic Rigor The classes are challenging without being difficult. Most of the teachers are nice and want to see you do well in class.
Tips for prospective students Be careful with your financial aid and classes. The lack of communication that the school has amongst its offices causes some students to loose money and take the wrong classes. They don't mean for this to happen, but it does.
In three sentences Warner University is the best place if you are sports person. While Warner constantly builds up its sports teams with the best, it leaves its academics behind with broken promises of new buildings and better class rooms. The only major that has not suffered is the education major because it is set in stone while the others keep changing which causes students much pain in their wallets.

Categories Comments Campus Safety 24 hour security that drive around the campus, offer rides to those who do not have a car and need to travel.
Great for these types of students If you are an athlete, you will not be bored because you will constantly training and practicing.
What to do for fun Although the campus is in the middle of no where, there are intramurals sports that happen on campus. There is a mall about 15 minutes away. Lego land is about 20 minutes away. Orlando is about an hour and thirty minutes away and the nearest beach is 2 hours either towards Tampa or Orlando.
Food and Dining Enough to cater for the entire school. The professors dine with the student, therefore allowing for a closer community and eliminating the space between student and professor.
Dorm Life Unisex dorms offer the opportunity for one to start a friendship before a relationship. Very spacious dorms and wonderful RA's.
Academic Rigor Free tutoring, challenging classes but there is always a professor willing to answer your questions, even when you raise your hand in class.
Tips for prospective students Don't expect an extremely glamorous campus with huge buildings and fancy things, this school focuses on more than the material things. They concentrate on your academics and your spirituality, without being aggressive or reprimanding. The people are very loving and supportive.
In three sentences Closely knit community that care about their students, faculty and staff. Wonderful opportunities to pursue religious degrees and be close to God. Small, but more than efficient.

Categories Comments Academic Rigor The academic rigor at Warner is very focused and geared towards the proper implementation and balance between real world and textbook studies. The courses just seem to have balance and challenge for students.
Tips for prospective students If you are looking for a University that cares about education and not the numbers then Warner University is the place for you. This university is more then a school it is a school of learning and leader creation.

Categories Comments Tips for prospective students Since Warner University is built on a Christian foundation, It is a Christian University. Prospective students should expect to gain a better relationship with God.
In three sentences At first glance Warner University may seem like a typical private University--small, strict, and boring. There's more to Warner that meets the eye. Warner University if fun, the students and professors are really friendly, and it's very also open to the Christian community.
