Around Town

With ETK, the SCC, Hall Councils, and other student organizations, there is always a group putting on events or providing activities for people. ETK (Entertainment ToKnight) brings performers and artists to campus, as well as, creates original events such as Bingo Night and other games that allow students to participate. Resident Assistants and the Hall Councils of Senate put on programs every month that allow students to get out of their rooms or study areas and have a little bit of fun. There's always the possibility of going to a lounge with your friends and watching a movie. There are many, many opportunities for students to have safe, quality fun at Wartburg College.

There is always stuff going on but I don't usually participate.

For fun get involved in campus organizations such as choirs, bands, drumline, theater, or sports.

Workout and hanging with friends!

Waverly is pretty small, but there are a few things such as the bowling alley and theater in town. The fitness center is also very nice and has things to do. There are also a few larger towns nearby (20-30 minutes away) where students go on the weekends.

There are a few bars around campus that have pool and dancing although some are more than a little shady. There is also a movie theater and a bowling alley, not much for shopping though. There are a lot of on-campus activities offered too which is nice because you almost have to drive everywhere!

There is so much to do on campus. The W offers workout equipment, basketball courts, golf, tennis, indoor track, swimming pool, exercise classes, rock climbing, and many more. The Student Center also offers a place for students to be engaged in on campus clubs and organizations that offer a variety of free activities to attend. The Waverly Community as a whole also offers many options for students, such as dollar movie nights.

The school provides an array of on-campus activities. The city of Waverly has a variety of restaurants for quality dining and several venues for entertainment. If it doesn't fulfill one's desire for fun, Waterloo and Cedar Falls are a hop, skip, and a jump away.
