    Feel free to take classes outside your comfort level, but also make sure you understand what it will take to get your degree and work towards it. If you struggle, make sure you use the Student Services resources -- they are there to help you! If you are planning to continue to a 4-year degree, check out the agreements with Eastern Michigan University for pre-approved transfer of specific classes or programs as full 2 years towards the 4-year degree.

    The councilors do the best they can, but if you're interested in a specific program, you need to talk to the adviser for that program as soon as possible. The program advisers know when certain classes will be offered and they'll help you plan out your course schedule so you're not stuck waiting for a class that's only offered once a year.

    I would say that one of the most important things to do while at WCC is to keep your grades up by listening to your instructor, looking at your syllabus, and to do your homework. I would also not be afraid to talk to new people and make new friends.
