I’ve been taking art classes to build up my portfolio for when I transfer and the art teachers here are phenomenal. Many of them are also employed at more expensive, “brand name” colleges like Eastern or U of M, so it’s like getting the same teaching experience for a couple thousand dollars less.

I love WCC. Although there's always talk about community colleges not being up to par, my college is wonderful. The only issues I have are capacities of classes and not being able to get into the classes that I would like to. I have to alter my schedule many times.

Washtenaw Community College is the best option in Michigan for many reasonsI. I, along with many peers, attend Washtenaw community college because they are affordable, they have a great teacher-student ratio with a caring faculty, the campus has a well-planned layout, and the entire atmosphere is uplifting. I will miss WCC when I transfer and will hold my memories dear.
