WVU is a big school; however, I have not met a professor who is not willing to help students outside of class. Even though there can be classrooms filled with 200 students at a time, it is very easy to get to know the professor and to work with them one-on-one to really understand the material. As long as the student is willing to work, the professor will work with them. Along with professors being a very useful resource, there are other options on campus such as tutors, study groups, and teacher assistants.

West Virginia University is like no other place in the world. Being a student there is a humbling experience and has allowed me to truly open my eyes to the world. I used to think having ambition meant going to college to grow up and have a lot of money, but I've learned from WVU that ambition is experience, knowledge, and hope for the future.

Large university that offers a wide range of degrees. Is very affordable for out of state individuals as compared to other large universities with similar offerings. Has a medical school with advanced hospital.

A small town with lots of opportunities. Even though, there are many students, you will run into people you know and that makes it feel like a tight niche community. The academic teachings here are quality even though it is a smaller university.

So far WVU has provided me with a true college experience. I went to the school in order to feel like a real college student and it has done that well. The school has good professors, administrators, and a good environment to help me grow in school work as well as socially.
