Its small enough that you'll recognize or know a lot of people, but big enough that everyone is not in your business. The smaller class sizes are a huge advantage because you are able to get more time with the professor when you need help.

Western has a beautiful campus and a wonderful atmosphere. This is a school for individuals who enjoy nature and a more quiet life style. I would suggest Western to individuals who are looking for a smaller school.

Western Carolina has a great staff that genuinely cares about your goals. The campus is located in a gorgeous mountain setting. It's a very laid back and small town community.

It's located in a beautiful campus with lots of outdoor activities everywhere. It's good for anyone who doesn't want a huge campus, but it isn't too tiny. Also, Western has some really great academic majors and opportunities that it offers after graduation.

Western is great. Don't come here if you like the city life, but if you enjoy the outdoors it's an amazing place to be.

Western is a beautiful place to go to school, especially if you enjoy the mountains. Worried about the cost? Western is one of the cheapest schools in North Carolina to attend.

Western Carolina is a great university. They offer a multitude of majors and minors, as well concentrations that are all taught by extremely competent professors. WCU isn't the best at most sports but they definitely have spirit.

Western Carolina is the best out of eight schools I looked at ranging from Michigan to Florida. Everyone is so outgoing and willing to help one another even if it is a complete stranger and the professors really truly care about your grades and will do anything they can to help you.

It is in the middle of nowhere, but I promise coming to this school could be the best thing possible. If you get out and get to know people as opposed to sitting in you room all day, you are bound to find a friend or two who share similar interest to yours. I am a freshman and I know A LOT of people that I would have never have met otherwise.
