Western Carolina is a little less expensive than most schools in North Carolina. I think it's well worth it. The classes are small which is good because you don't feel like just a number. Some of the buildings are older but historic which is cool. They use a rental program for your books which is AWESOME because you don't have to pay a fortune for your books.

Along with being reasonably priced, Western's campus is a beautiful place to live and study. You can look out of your dorm window and see the mountains for miles!

Western isn't nearly as expensive as it looks like it would be. You rent textbooks so you don't spend hundreds of dollars a semester on them. There's an amazing gym, which part of your tuition pays for, tutors are free, as well as the IT department.
