Western is roughly $21,000 for a student coming in for Fall 2013. The rates adjust with every new class. The rate is locked in meaning it will never increase so you will always know what to expect depending on how many credit hours you take. For the price of $21,000 you are receiving exactly what you're paying for. Students often complain about the stuff we don't have but we're not exactly paying a lot of money. We have free transportation to and from Walmart and the other stores in our city and the computer lab offers free printing. The bookstore is an arm and a leg but that's at most schools. Western doesn't offer a lot of book vouchers.

Let's be honest, compared to many Universities the WIU price is right. For the experience I had at Western I would say it was worth the money, but that all depends on how you spend your college experience and whether you spend your time growing as a person, meeting new people, getting involved, and working hard, or taking advantage of the party scene, more than one should.

Sometimes you feel like you don't always get what you're paying for but it's still a great place, in my opinion.

The amount difference from an Iowa Community College to WIU QC was not an uncomfortable or large increase. I am very satisfied with the tuition and other fees considering it is a brand new facility and professors are very educated and successful. Some professors on the other hand hardly teach well enough for the amount we are paying for our education. I like that WIU QC does not request students to pay for a meal plan and the parking price isn't bad, $40/yr.
