Around Town

There are some fun things you can do at Western Oregon University. You can go to the Werner University Center and go hang in the lounge area and play video games or watch tv, or play pool with your buddies. You can also go to the health and wellness center and workout. There are rock climbing, swimming, basketball, racquetball, or practice dance in the mirrored rooms. At night they also have zumba and choreographed cardio, so if u want to dance and workout just go to zumba its so much fun! There's many restaurants you can eat at and a park next to the deli supermarket. A lot of events also go on at Western Oregon university so that you can do something instead of staying in your dorm room.

There is many things, even thought it is a small campus. They have outdoor activities you can do, many clubs and organizations, and events going around campus.

Western is within an hour or two drive from the city of fun also known as Portland, Oregon. You will never run out of fun things to do in this city. Clubs, malls, food, and much more. Salem, Oregon is the capital, and is even closer. Salem is not as big as Portland but there is a ton to do there as well. Monmouth, where WOU is located, has a bowling alley, movie theatre, river front park, and lots of restaurants.

Sports and parties

There are a wide variety of clubs and organizations accessible to students on campus. The campus also consistently sponsors events for students to participate in, a lot of which involve prizes. If you're looking for more of a party scene then you'll have to travel over to one of the major cities, because Monmouth isn't really the place for that.

Again, look around Monmouth. Go out to the coast, mountains or the big city. And there are plenty of clubs to be part of.

They have an event calendar that includes all on campus events. They have a great gym on campus as well as are close to shopping and dining places.

Monmouth is a small town with not a lot to do however Salem and Corvallis are only a short drive away. There is also a movie theater in Independence which is only 2 miles away.

I am not sure if they have the sports type that i like (soccer).

There are many clubs on campus and there are many places to go eat in Monmouth. Also, the dorms will put on programs throughout the year that are a ton of fun. There are many places around campus you can go to hang out with friends, including to play video games or pool. We also have an amazing gym at our disposal; it offers many sports, weight lifting, running, a pool and even a rock climbing area.
