Around Town

There are endless amounts of things you can do at Western for fun! You can go fishing, hunting, hiking, rock climbing, etc! There are so many options! I suggest that you are a little outdoors man if you come here!

There are always activities going on around campus, there is a movie theater, and fun stores to go shopping in town.

If you are an outdoor or activities person there is tons to do the school provides Western Pursuit trips that teach you different activities such as rock climbing, biking , rafting , ice climbing , kayaking and more. It is a great opportunity to find and make new friends and travel for a small amount of money.

I am on the football team here at WSCU and love my new friends. When not busy with school or football i love to go fishing or skiing. We have one of the best ski areas withing thirty minutes of us.

Skiing, hiking, brewing beer, white water fun, camping, climbing, rock climbing....anything outside!

It's a very outdoor based community. There's mountain biking, kayaking, skiing, snow-shoeing, hiking, trail running, etc. There's also a team for just about every outdoor sport. Campus holds lots of fun events and Crested Butte is only a half hour away.

Anything outdoors, its all here. you want to stay in shape, the Escalante fitness center is the place to be. Plenty of club sports from mountain biking to paintball. If you don't find your interest, start your own club!

Anything outdoors, especially in the winter!!! Free shuttles to crested butte, and i would definitely recommend getting a season pass.

There are many outdoor activities. Skiing, hiking, camping are only a few and a program on campus allows you to rent gear to go rafting, rock climbing, or many other things.
