WWU’s faculty can be characterized as innovative, challenging, and accommodating. Most every classroom is equipped with the technology to allow for multi-media presentations, so you will never have a talking head professor. The professors try to cater to every type of learner through these different mediums and apply what you learn to the real world. For me, this type of instruction included completing a project that will be used by Western faculty and affect the way they teach. You will never go hungry for knowledge with the fast paced and interactive classroom environment. Speaking up and speaking out in class...

Classes are very interesting and really expand your horizons. The housing department is horrible and causes a lot of problems for anyone who deals with them. Some of the people there are bizarre, but most everyone is very accepting.

I believe that Western has no more diversity to offer. Western has brilliant professors, however, they leave due to low pay. In my experience, Western Washington University has become more involved in profit, instead of education.

A beautiful campus with wonderful faculty who are really interested in seeing their students succeed. Western and Bellingham have things for every type of student: sporty, indoorsy, extrovert, introvert, you name it.

WWU allows you to be who you are, even when you don't who that is just yet. It is a very open-minded community that accepts everyone, even those who we would consider quirky. It is easy to become eco friendly here

Western Washington University is a relaxing environment with professors who want you to succeed. The outdoors are a big part of Western's appearance and mean a lot to many people who teach and study here. The campus is small enough to get to where you need to go quickly enough, but not so big that your lecture halls consist of 200+ students.

Close, easy to navigate through, with plenty of extracurricular activities available for attending students including my favorite recreational area, the fitness area. Each of my higher level teachers offered great challenges and plenty of help with completing work effectively. The student community is fairly diverse, many people are friendly, and there's also plenty of hot spots to check out nearby downtown.
