Around Town

Attend some of the dances at least once your first year. Join clubs or start your own. Get off campus from time to time and just explore the City or greater LA. Remember things are boring only if you are a boring person, so make the most out of your college life.

The college itself sponsors many different events. There are seasonal festivals that may include anything from carnival attractions to bouncy houses. There are musical groups and influential speakers who are frequently (think weekly or even more commonly) called to come to campus and entertain or educate students. There are clubs and activities aplenty (see Clubs and Activities below). Facilities include a gym, a pool, and several sports fields, all of which are available for student use. The surrounding city of Uptown Whittier has what amounts to a small shopping district just a couple blocks from the campus. Included are a theater, a book shop, a candy shop, multiple restaurants, and several clubs and bars (oftentimes, but not always, having taken a rather bohemian style as a reflection of the clientele).

The college is great with having events of all sorts. There are parties and events that clubs or organizations put together for the students. There is also a pool and a gym and some people simply walk down the street to Uptown Whittier where there is a Cinemas for $5 on Tuesdays and all sorts of restaurants.

Going to the plays and cultural events is definitely worthwhile. There are various dances, musical events, sport competitions, etc on campus.

Uptown has cute shops and restaurants, and LA is nearby.

There's a pool, a weight room, and a library. There are multiple lounges, and numerous campus clubs. No matter what the tastes of a student, there will be something provided by the campus to make sure they can have a fun, relaxing time when possible.

To have fun join clubs on campus to be better involved. Also attend events the school offers. Lastly get to know new people and explore new places thats always fun!

Attend as many events as possible and don't be afraid to join clubs! Always make the best of everything because there's nothing to lose from doing so

The college is located in an amazing spot, there is LA not to far from here. There is Disneyland, Knotts, and Six Flags as well. There is a movie theater in walking distance of the college and lots of things to do in Uptown Whittier which is literally across the street from the college.
