What I do for fun at Whittier College is, I am a college athlete on the Women's tennis team. I've been playing tennis since I was 7 years old and I want to continue on in college just for fun to not lose my ability's and get the chance to meet new people who also plays tennis.

You can explore the shops located a block away from the campus. There's also clubs and societies that provide great social interaction.

For fun you can take a walk onto campus and catch an ultimate frisbee game or go and play tennis. Also you can go catch a movie just two blocks away, or go into the Campus Inn and play foosball or some pool. At Whittier College there is always something to do and that is what puts whittier on the map because you can not only get a great education but also be proactive and have fun on campus.

We go to uptown a lot and do things like eat and shop in the adorable boutiques. Not a ton of parties, but there are a lot of dances thrown by societies that are basically parties the school sponsors. Penn Park is a rad place that a lot of people chill at. Honestly most of the places we go require driving. Walking in uptown with just girls can get kind of dangerous at night, so driving is sort of a must. It's also pretty close to LA, so on the weekends a lot of people drive up to the clubs.

As mentioned above there are a good number of social gatherings and activities that are offered by the college. Living on campus is the best way to find out about these event since they are usually discussed among the students that go there. Another way to find out about certain events is to search on the college web site.

There are many things to do on and off campus. There are intramurals in which students can participate in and compete against others. Clubs plan trips to the beach, Disneyland, theater shows to get students to mingle with one another.

There are school party's but if that is not your thing you can head over to Los Angeles or popular Orange County cites, just 30 min away both ways.

Attend some of the dances at least once your first year. Join clubs or start your own. Get off campus from time to time and just explore the City or greater LA. Remember things are boring only if you are a boring person, so make the most out of your college life.
