Whitworth believes strongly in an education of mind and heart and this is obvious through all of the professors. Class sizes are fairly small, allowing lots of interaction between students and professors. The material is challenging, but there is always help available for those who are looking for it. If the dorms are too loud, the library can provide some much needed quiet and comfortable chairs for study time.

Whitworth is a very friendly campus. The majority of the student body is conservative. there are always activities going on.

High expectations, but the school has high quality education. This school is definitely small and private. Great access to professors.

Whitworth is a close-knit community of mostly Christian students who want to make the world a better place. The professors are friendly and want to get to know you. They also personally care for you and want you to succeed.

  • Apr-05-2014 I am accepted here and planning to attend soon

My first visit here I wasn't sure if this school was for me. It has the academics and the semi-conservative Christian values I am looking for. On my second visit I fell in love, and I can't wait to attend this fall.

This university contains some of the most intellectually sound, yet compassionate professors anywhere in the world. Not only do almost all of them hold doctoral degrees from outstanding universities (University of Washington, University of Oregon, University of Alabama, Princeton, Princeton Theological Seminary, Oxford, etc.), they ALL want and do relate to you in incredible ways. Each professor I had desired to get to know me and would call me to check-in (especially if I missed a class), but challenged me to help me become a competitive professional and diligent employee.

I feel strongly that in this life, each and every person is born with innate desires an among these are the desire to be loved, the desire to be known and the desire to have a purpose. Before I went to Whitworth, I was seeking each of these intensely and I only thought I knew what I wanted to really do in this life. When I left Whitworth, I left feeling absolutely full because there I was pursued by my professors, cared for by the students, inspired by the character of the institution and charged with a call to impact the world.

Whitworth University has a set goal on helping every student proceed to the next step on reaching their career goals. An education for the mind and heart is their outreach to their students and faculty. A great community to be a part of, this environment gives a lot of opportunities to students to get involved with their community.

Whitworth is highly committed to both the academic and Presbyterian missions it holds and daily strives to provide students with an education of mind and heart. Students and faculty work in close association to build a firmly Christian yet accepting environment for learning and personal growth.

Whitworth University's campus is beautiful and the they have a warm and welcoming atmosphere. While leaving your family and moving into a dorm with people you don't know is scarey, I felt at home and safe when I moved into my 3rd floor dorm with a room mate I didn't know and podmates I had never met. I am now into my 2nd month and very much at home and safe.
