    Go Greek. If you don't go Greek, you need to involve yourself in a number of student organizations to feel like you have a place on campus. Don't trust the caf food. Don't be afraid to hound your advisor to make sure you're on track. If you have a class with Klawinski, show him your attitude and he'll respect you more.
