WSU UPAC (student organization), regularly offers activities and events like free or reduced bowling, reduced movies, dances, and trips to sports events and theater productions. In addition, WSU hosts a annual spring concert, where groups like Easton Corbin, Skillet, and George Watsky have performed. While Winona doesn't have a lot of chain restaurants or big movie theaters, it is located just 45 minutes east of Rochester, MN, home of Mayo Clinic. Rochester is a great option for some of those big city amenities that you may miss in Winona.
