Winona is a great college! I am absolutely learning a lot of information in a variety of classes! I am a nursing major, and I brought a year's worth of credits in with me from taking PSEO classes during my junior and senior years of high school. Therefore, most of my classes are prerequisites for the nursing major. Most of my classes are science related classes. I love them! They keep me busy, but I'm doing well in them and learning a lot. WSU is a good school specifically for nursing and education majors. The town of Winona is pretty quaint. The school in general doesn't have a whole lot to offer compared to other larger universities in Minnesota.

Winona State offered many different classes, and the education was great for a college freshman who didn't know what to expect. There are a variety of majors, and the staff is very helpful. I enjoyed the atmosphere and location of this school.

Winona is a nice school. It's a small town so there's not much to do. There is little to no diversity in students and professors.

I am a freshman at Winona. I have learned that you definately have to use your time wisely and study! Classes are definately harder than high school. If you fall behind in a class take advantage of tutors available! College life is fun, you have your independence! But remember in the long run you will have to pay back your loans so make sure you have a degree to show for it.

I love the closeness of everything on campus. It is located in a beautiful place and full of great things to do on and off campus. The biology program is better than I had ever hoped.

Winona is a nice-sized campus for people who don't want anything to big or too small. The nursing program is incredible and well-respected. I just finished week one of the program and can already tell the incredible amount of work will be well worth it.
