Around Town

There are restaurants around campus, so I went out to eat a lot. Charlotte, North Carolina is also just twenty minutes from campus, so hanging out in Charlotte is always fun! There's Carowinds, various restaurants, concerts and other performances, and things of that nature all the time in Charlotte.

Winthrop coordinates trips out of campus, and on-campus activities in a community atmosphere are usually frequent.

Great involved on campus

Well Winthrop is 20-30 minutes away from Charlotte so if you don't want to be on campus you can always go to Charlotte. You can do some shopping and Carowinds is right there. On campus there is a movie theater, we have intramural games, step shows, etc.

There is so much to do on Winthrop's campus! Located in a large city and very close to another booming city, there are so many things a student can do for fun. Being bored is not an option!

Going to sporting events and playing games in the DiGiorgio Campus center is always fun.

On campus actives and off campus parties

Depends on what you consider Fun. A lot of times we find things around Rock Hill or go to Charlotte,North Carolina which is just 20 minutes away!

We have cultural events about 2 or 3 times a week. There is always a lecture, concert, gallery, or movie to go to.

It's not too far from Charlotte, NC in case you want to go off-campus for some fun in the city. But Winthrop always has an event that appeals to everyone so there's never a dull moment. I've been to magic shows, movie screenings, and even game shows.
