New Orleans is definitely a destination city, so if you're looking to do something for fun, there are plenty of opportunities to find it. The art and history museums are my favorites and you can't forget about Lakeside Mall. There is quite a nightlife downtown on the weekends. No matter what you may choose to do, always make sure you are aware of your surrounding. Stay safe.

There are all kinds of societies and clubs to be in, but you don't even have to be in one to experience all the events. There are parties, poetry events, basketball games, fashion shoes, and many other things. The really cool part is that most of the events are student planned and run too.

You live in the city of New Orleans, THE crescent city! What is there not to do for fun? Plus Xavier's greeks do a pretty good job with keeping events on campus.

This is New Orleans. I'm sure you can think of something -cough French Quarters, Museums, Food Tours- Xavier does provide some events for students and will shuttle them if it's off campus. There's a bus stop right up the street from the campus, making getting anywhere in the city easy. As long as you know the bus routes.

Xavier is located 10 mins from the world famous Bourbon Street if you ever need a get away from the study life. If the night life isn't your scene there are tons of restaurants to go get lost in the local cajun cuisine. Being one of the first major ports in the New World, New Orleans is rich with French flavor as well as many interesting historic sites.

There are events going on on campus all the time. Lunchtime is so fun because sometimes they play music and just have small, alcohol-free parties. There is also a pool and ping pong table in the University Center, which is also fun and leisurely.
