Generous financial aid
» Read MoreI'm lucky because I'm on financial aid, so I'm only paying about 5,000 a year to go to this amazing place. If your family makes below 60,000, you get to come for free! So don't let money be an issue. However, it is pricey for upper-middle class, and it's definitely an issue for some people. However, everyone here loves it, and I can't imagine that they would want to be anywhere else.
» Read MoreYale is ridiculously generous with financial aid. If you get in then Yale will make sure that it is affordable for you.
» Read MoreThe average out-of-college salary is around 50K going up to to 100K+ 5 years later... that's pretty good by any standard, though it balances out with the loans.
» Read MoreIt is a GREAT education with awesome average starting salaries and endless opportunities. 60% of students received an average of $41,350 (they would rate this at 5 stars). 40% of us get zero aid (less stars). The website aid calculator will give you a good guide, but assume you will get less. These are important family discussions. Do it up front BEFORE you apply as my family did. It is an investment in my future and we are all on board. Very happy here, no regrets.
