The school has made some major improvements in the past three years. Academically speaking, the professors do a terrific job in explaining course material. Athletics and campus life also provided students with wonderful opportunities in meeting people and gaining connections.

I have been attending Youngstown State University for four years now, since I can only take two classes per semester. My experience at YSU has been excellent. Even though I am a non-traditional student, I feel welcome here and enjoy meeting students from all walks of life as well as the academic challenges I face in each class.

Financial aid department knowledgeable. Works well with students who are duel enrolled. Disappointed that duel enrolled students could not participate in federal work study jobs.
