    Am learning a lot

I have learned and grown so much here. The teachers are amazing and care so much for you as a student and as a person. You will learn a ton in your classes, and will be more than prepared when you enter the work field or continue on with your education.

    Am enjoying being here

The atmosphere here is great. The school provides a ton of opportunities for you to get involved and meet new people. You will have many opportunities for service and volunteer work, missions trips, and times to have just plain fun. I enjoy being here because here you are treated as a person rather than just another number. I have had the chance to talk to and connect with all my professors and meet a ton of great friends.

    Bang for the buck

Albeit the tuition is pretty high, but you will be getting a great education, a place to become your own person and to grow in your faith. You will be provided with so many opportunities to better yourself and your future resumes or applications. The small classrooms will provide you the chance to get to know your professors, so when it comes time for those letters of recommendation, the professors will know you and your work ethic and the letter will shine in its genuineness.

    Tips for prospective students

Get connected and become involved. The school will provide you many opportunities to become involved and the best thing to do is to take advantage of those opportunities. Get to know your professors and build positive relationships with them, they are great and genuinely care about you.

Great for these types of students

It is great for students looking for smaller classes and more personal relationships with professors and staff. It is a place for students looking for tons of volunteer work, mission work, and service work. It is a safe and fun environment if you are looking for a small but great school.

    Am learning a lot

The professors here truly care about their students' education. In most of my classes I attended my first year, there were a lot of discussions in the classes; in addition to learning the information in the textbooks, the professors allowed us (the students) to discuss our many different perspectives. All of the information I learned in class, was useful to not just pass the course, but to apply to my everyday life. I especially appreciated learning new ideas in a Christian setting.

    Am enjoying being here

I enjoyed being in the college so much, that as I'm home in Dallas for the summer, I'm anxious to get back to ACU! The atmosphere at ACU is so friendly and inviting; Abilene, very quickly became home to me. Both the students, the faculty, and the staff seem to share the same ideal of making a difference in the world, and when I was on campus I easily desired the same goal. I have very much enjoyed my first-year experience at ACU because I made many great friends and great connections, that I'm sure will last my life-time.

    Bang for the buck

While ACU is very expensive, and I have struggled financially like many college students, the quality of education that ACU provides can't be beat. All of the faculty are genuinely interested in the well-being of their students as well as the high-education provided to their students. What makes ACU's education most profound to me, is that the classes are taught from a Christian foundation.

    Tips for prospective students

The biggest tip I can provide, is to go into your freshman year with an open mind, and the desire to grow as an individual as well as in your faith. I learned so much about myself my freshman year, and after all of growth I did my freshman year, I still desire to grow even more through my next years in college.

Another tip I have is to venture out and try new things that you have never done before because maybe you were too shy or too afraid. I was shy most of my years in high school, but I grew to be much more outgoing in college, and because of it, I made some of the best friends I'll ever have.

Make sure to pick your friends wisely though, because you want friends who will support you in having fun but also support you in making time to study for your classes.

--Make a healthy balance of fun and studying. The reason you're in school is for an education, so don't forget to study! However, college is also the time to enjoy the college experience, so have some fun with your friends. Don't burn yourself out from studying too much!

Great for these types of students

ACU is a great university for anyone who wants to receive a high education, and wants a small classroom size. ACU also provides a great atmosphere for anyone who wants to grow in their faith.

    Am learning a lot

not only about academic subjects, but also about people who are very diverse.

    Am enjoying being here

A LOT! There are lots of campus activities and events to be involved in. Although the first semester at ACU was difficult to adjust to, it will be that way anywhere you go. The environment is very open and friendly to all types of people.

    Bang for the buck

ACU comes with a fair sized price tag, but not unreasonable. Scholarships are available though. There are many scholarships to be had, just from ACU. If you are an athlete, ACU offers many athletic scholarships, so look into them. If you are not (like me), you should look into the departmental scholarships or the merit scholarships. The best one I heard about was the presidential scholarship, which offers full and half tuition, depending on ACT scores and an interview.

    Tips for prospective students

Make sure that you look at scholarships for ACU early on. There is scholarship money available, but the cut off dates seem to be a little early to me. Also, due to the fact that ACU is affiliated with the Church of Christ, be prepared to attend a required amount of chapel. I personally enjoy chapel very much, not only for the spiritual benefits, but because it offers a 30 minute mental and emotional break from the craziness of the day.

Great for these types of students

Anyone who wants a quality education with a spiritual christian backdrop should consider ACU. ACU is a place where you have the christian environment to grow in your faith if you want to, without having it stuffed down your throat. If you like diversity and but don't want the massively overwhelming size of some universities, ACU may be the place for you.

    Will learn a lot

I have met and talked with several students there, and they all love their teachers. They were impressed with there classes and said they learned a lot.

    Will enjoy being here

All three times that I have visited the campus I have enjoyed being there. The food is great! I have already made a few friends and the campus is gorgeous.

    Bang for the buck

It is very expensive since it is a private school, but you get a free iphone or ipod touch when you join. There are athletic scholarships but I am not sure how much they are. The school does give nice scholarships for your SAT scores though.

    Tips for prospective students

Something that has made me look forward to going there is talking with my admissions counselor, financial aid office, setting up meetings with coaches, and viewing the dorms. Take every opportunity you can to learn more about the school.

    Academic Rigor

I loved my classes! Ask around about professors and the upperclassmen will give you a good idea of what to expect. I loved the small class size and how the professors are truly teaching for the students to learn the most possible. Though there are a few professors I wouldn't recommend, as a whole I learned a lot.

    Will enjoy being here

I love the campus and the atmosphere. I really appreciate that there are designated quiet areas for prayer or studying. There's lots of extracurricular clubs and activities, and the policy is if they don't already have it, start it! I really am excited about all the new opportunities!

    Bang for the buck

ACU is pretty pricey. It does offer a lot of quality faculty members and good opportunities for the students, but I wouldn't say the bang for the buck is amazing unless you've got financial aid! It's a very good school, but it is so expensive and you don't always get what is initially represented by the school.

    Tips for prospective students

Apply early! Get to know your admissions counselor - they are a great help! Don't be afraid to ask questions. The higher you can get your SAT/ACT scores the more scholarships you can apply for. Visit campus it's awesome! Also, tour all the dorms and talk to people on campus so you can decide which one is the right fit for you. Come ready to explore new things, study hard, have fun, and open yourself up to some great volunteer work opportunities. IMPORTANT NOTE! When you first register for classes take classes that will transfer! A lot of the class scheduling is done for you your first semester but look the classes up and make them change them! This way if you have to transfer you won't have to lose a bunch of hours because they won't transfer!!!

Great for these types of students

Great for students who want to participate in the college community and who want to learn. Good for hard-working students who will jump in with volunteer activities and also love to hang with friends. Especially good for students who want to connect with their professors.

    Am learning a lot

ACU is a terrific, faith-based university with many opportunities to get straight A's and keep them too! My friends and I enjoy passing around new and interesting facts that we have learned in our classes. At ACU, I really learn something new every day.

    Am enjoying being here

The people, faculty and students alike, are very friendly and welcoming. They really enjoy each other and all of the faculties main goals each semester is to get to know each student, no matter how large the class, at least on a first name basis. Everyone is really fun to be around and energetic as well.

    Bang for the buck

Despite the fact that ACU is a bit pricey, the amount of opportunities that it offers to get involved in the community around the University far outways the price.

Great for these types of students

ACU is a great university for students from all walks of life. There is not a single person here that I have found who will judge another. Everyone is extremely friendly and just a joy to be around. So, ACU is great for just about everyone!

Abilene Christian is a great place to expand your knowledge base. The professors at ACU will push students to grow and question their core, foundational beliefs. ACU is a great place for self exploration and discovery.

    Am enjoying being here

In order to enjoy your time at ACU, I would recommend being open to the numerous events on campus. These campus events are the best places to meet others and find groups of friends.

    Bang for the buck

ACU is pricey. Be prepared to take out a life-long loan!

    Tips for prospective students

I would expect to be challenged by ACU.

Great for these types of students

    ACU is great for socialites!

    Am learning a lot

At ACU the classes are always interesting and intriguing. The professors are excellent and are always up to date on current issues and events within their field of expertise as well as others and will combine this into the curriculum. The classes are interactive and this has been increased some by the Global Learning Initiative that was implemented in 2008-2009 school year that gave incoming Freshmen the choice between a paid for iTouch or iPhone (service not included with phone). This increased students ability to communicate with professors and peers which in turn increased student to professor feed back. Thus, increasing the overall learning experience. I have learned a lot while at ACU and look forward to learning much more.

    Am enjoying being here

ACU is amazing! When I came to a Wildcat Preview Day I was blown away. You walk on campus and you instantly feel you are a part of a community. In fact I was so impressed I made my decision that very day! My being a student at the school has only increased my love and enjoyment of the school. The student population of about five thousand students is big enough that you are always meeting new people but small enough that you can actually form relationships with people outside your major. The facilities and grounds are excellent and the amount of extracurricular activities available is amazing. ACU is a great place for me and I am blessed to be there.

    Bang for the buck

Tuition at ACU is costly, with average total cost for a student being around thirty thousand dollars a year. However, you get way more than you pay for as a student. When you go into class it isn't just a lecture hall, it is an interactive classroom that allows you to utilize every source available to you. The professors want to be there and want to help you learn and understand what they are teaching. The extracurriculars give you an outlet to just relax and enjoy being around other students. The facilities are excellent and help to increase your learning experience. Then there is the overall experience you get from being at ACU that is priceless.

    Tips for prospective students

Abilene Christian University is a Christian University with a connection to the Church of Christ. Christianity is a huge part of the school and it is the driving force behind every aspect of it. ACU is a wonderful school that truly cares about the student. Every part of the Faculty, Administration and staff from the Janitors to the Schools President, works hard to make the students feel welcome and a part of the school. The education is excellent and the professors are always willing to help you in any way they can. The sports program is wonderful and the school has been nationally ranked many times. Extracurricular activities are endless and the programs you can join through the school could change your life. Become a part of the school there is something for everyone at ACU, you just have to ask.

Great for these types of students

ACU is great for students who have been living the Christian faith for a long time and want a place to continue to grow and learn, it is wonderful for students who are new to the faith and want to grow while at school and it is good for students who are unsure of their faith position and just want an excellent education. ACU welcomes everyone and works hard to accommodate them, but the Christian faith is major part of the school and will be evident in every Chapel you attend, every Bible Class, every class and activity.

    Will learn a lot

I'm excited about the programs and the classes they have to offer at ACU.

    Will enjoy being here

I have visited the campus twice and it is beautiful. I can't wait till I get to be there full time.

    Bang for the buck

ACU does cost more than some state schools, but it also offers you something that those schools can't--a small Christian environment where the teachers and students are all excited to help you grow in your walk with Christ

    Tips for prospective students

Start looking for scholarships early and study hard for ACT and SAT testing. There are a few great scholarships if you do well on those test.

Great for these types of students

A student who is seeking after God and wants an environment where they will be challenged to grow in there faith, while they are given the tools to do what God has called them to do.

Now that I am in my Nursing courses I am learning many new and applicable things.

    Am enjoying being here

I have formed wonderful relationships and gotten involved in a lot of different aspects of this amazing campus.

    Bang for the buck

ACU is very expensive. I am only here because I have a scholarship and my parents are helping me every step of the way. Having ACU on my diploma will make a difference in my career choices because of the community and connections that the campus has.

    Tips for prospective students

Start looking into scholarships now! It is never too soon to be looking into how you are going to be paying for college. College is a very important choice and if you want the best of the best you are going to have to work hard to pay for it.

Great for these types of students

Students who want a smaller class size with great relationships with peers and professors. Students who want to be a part of a community where everyone fits in and feels a part of the school. Students who want a Christian atmosphere without sacrificing a strong academic environment will thrive here.

I find that not only do I learn a ton from my professors, but I am able to apply what I learn in daily live. I frequently find myself mentioning something I learned in class in daily conversation and then in my head I secretly thank my professors for being so personable and enthusiastic about their subjects because it in turn makes me enthusiastic and more willing to engage my mind.

    Am enjoying being here

Abilene Christian University is the perfect fit for me, I could definitely not see myself anywhere else and am proud of my decision to go here. I feel like it is the perfect size for me. I enjoy being able to recognize and be friends with the people in my classes, in my dorm, and just people around campus. I also like that my school is not only Christian in name, but in everything they do. The professors, the students, the classes, everything is modeled after Christ. This is something I was looking for in a university, and I found it!

    Bang for the buck

Although Abilene Christian costs more than public schools, because it is private I am actually paying about the same amount I would have been paying at my second choice public school because of the amount of scholarships they offer. I have rarely encountered someone who is not on some type of scholarship offered by the university, they are really good about offering scholarships. Plus, even though it is more expensive, it is definitely worth it. The academics plus the general experience of just being here make it worth the while.

    Tips for prospective students

Come and take a tour! See for yourselves just what kind of university ACU is! ACU is real and does not show you fake things just to convince you to come here, they actually show you what you are interested in and will answer all of your questions/concerns (if you have any!).

Great for these types of students

ACU is great for all types of students actually. We have a diverse campus, which makes ACU that much better! I am friends with people I would have never expected to be friends with and would have never had the opportunity to be friends with before. The only advise I have to offer is to come here if you want an exceptional school, because ACU is like no other university out there!

I absolutely love being a student here at ACU, the people are welcoming and friendly, and as a student one is given the the opportunity to engage in a number of different activities on campus (both academically and socially). The ACU campus is most definitely a true example of what community should be, the campus body is extremely helpful, supportive and caring! There are also a great number of ways to get plugged into various activities and events which take place throughout the year!

    Academic Rigor

Most all of the professors and instructors on campus help challenge students, but the university is also very helpful as far as faculty and instructional help and guidance goes.

    Dorm Life

Dorm life is definitely one of my favorite experiences while on campus, I was able to meet various people from different walks of life and was able to establish meaningful and lifelong relationships! It pushed me to step out of my comfort zone and connect with a large group of amazing people!

    Food and Dining

Although some of the campus cafeteria food is not the best there is on this planet, the food is decent and the student body has a relatively decent variety to choose from on campus.

    What to do for fun

The town of Abilene is small, however that is not to say that there is nothing to do. There are various campus activities and events which take place throughout the school terms as well as what there is do in town, movies, mall, etc.

    Clubs and Activities

There are a number of social clubs on campus and many of these are awesome groups to join! It is definitely an experience worth trying.

    Campus Safety

There are patrol units which patrol the campus and the response is fairly quick and easy to contact.

It is a place where you can grow spiritually as well as get prepared for your career. Compassion is emphasized as well as service to your community. The professors take a personal interest in you and your college career!

    Tips for prospective students

It is an intimate college experience with under 5000 students. Attendence in Chapel is required, so if you have no religious interest, this may not be a good choice for you.

    Academic Rigor

The pre-med program is expecially tough, but the acceptance rate into med school is the highest in Texas. There are other programs that are less challenging. Some of the programs don't go in-depth enough.

    Dorm Life

Dorm Life is exceptional. You must live on campus your first 2 years and the dorms are uni-sex.

    Food and Dining

If you live on campus, you must buy a meal ticket. The Cafeteria is called The Bean and there are many options to choose from. There is always something good for everyone.

    What to do for fun

The college is in Abilene Texas, which is a small West Texas town. The students get very creative with what to do in their spare time because they have to. If you want to find partying, it is out there, but most students don't participate in that kind of thing.

    Bang for the buck

It is a wonderful place to prepare for the future as well as make relationships that will last a lifetime. It is a private school, so it is more expensive than state schools, but less expensive than other large private schools.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

ACU does a production in the spring called Sing Song. All the social clubs and classes compete while performing 3 minute acts consisting of acapella singing and choreography within a certain theme. It is really hard to describe, but it is very fun and students and alumni both look forward to it every year.

Great for these types of students

This is a christian university in deed - not only in name. If your faith is a big part of who you are, then this is a great place for you. Also - if you are wanting to be a doctor, this is a fabulous place because their med school acceptance rate is very high.

    Clubs and Activities

You can participate in any sport, either on the school team or in the inter-mural league. You can get involved with the Student Association and there are always service projects going on to get involved in. There are too many clubs to mention.

    Greek Life

ACU has social clubs as a christian alternative to sororities and fraternities. You can join one of these your sophmore year or later.

    Campus Safety

Abilene is a very safe town in general and there are 2 other colleges in town. ACU has its own police/security, but they are needed very rarely.

At Abilene Christian University, I feel like I belong. There is never a moment when I feel alone; both the faculty and student body seem to genuinely care for one another. Due to frequent social activities and the genuine care the professors have for their students, I have already made so many life-long friendships.

    Tips for prospective students

Give it one semester. Within a semester you will no doubt feel like you belong to one huge family. Complete strangers never fail to come up to me and say hi, and on more than one occasion, these strangers became my best of friends. I have begun to find my true self at Abilene Christian University.

    Academic Rigor

Of course, like anything in life, what you put into preparation will parallel what you get out of it; this is without a doubt the same with academics. If you hunger for knowledge and bettering yourself, and therefore apply yourself according to your desire, you will come out with so much. The difficulty of the classes, then, depends on you; let me say however, that it is worth the trouble.

    Dorm Life

There is always something to do in the dorms; a week never goes by that does not have some kind of dorm activity going on! The Resident Assistants never fail to include all of the students in an activity. We have eaten barbecue, played dodge ball, had a poetry contest, and so much more!

    Food and Dining

As far as the food offered, I would rate it average. The World Famous Bean offers many choices of cuisine, ranging from International foods to Vegetarian options. The only time I would rate the Dining Services with an A is during Visitation Days, as it is understandable that they would go all out when potential students are visiting.

    What to do for fun

There are so many options of getting involved at ACU. SingSong, a lively tradition since 1956, is a time where clubs and classes show off their musical talent for parents, the student body, and visitors every spring time. Another way to get involved is Freshmen Follies, a type of Talent Show specifically for freshmen who want to get to know other freshmen and have a blast on stage. Before the start of their first year, everyone participates in what we call Welcome Week; this is a time where small groups participate in events with each other like the Welcome Week Olympics and perhaps the largest game of Twister in the world! Of course there are so many other ways to have fun and get to know your peers; examples include club activities, dances, intramural sports, etc.

    Bang for the buck

Being a private school, ACU is of course on the expensive side. However, the financial aid department and other departments truly want you to come to ACU and do not want money to be an issue. These people search relentlessly for scholarships and loans, such that I do not know a single person who has come here without some kind of financial aid. When it is all said and done, it is well worth the time and effort of all that scholarship searching.

Great for these types of students

If you are looking for a sense of belonging, come to ACU. If you are looking to find a specific purpose in life, come to ACU. If you need a friend, come to ACU.

    Campus Safety

Because the ACU Police Department so cares about our safety and is on the scene at the slightest hint of trouble, nothing hardly dangerous happens on campus. Located across the street, the Campus Police Department honestly cares about each one of us; evidence of this is proven by frequent email updates about weather and what driving routes to take when we go home.

    Tips for prospective students

learn to enjoy chapel! many people think it's a negative thing, but it's a great chance to take a quick break from your day, praise the lord, and get together with your friends before lunch!

    Academic Rigor

the classes are challenging and thought-provoking, as they should be! core especially is a great way to learn how to think critically.

    Dorm Life

dorm life is great, there are so many opportunities to get to become close to people in your hall. the only down-side that i can think of is there is a curfew of midnight for freshmen, but that's fairly reasonable in my opinion.

    Food and Dining

out of many colleges i've visited, i'm going to have to say that acu has the best food!
they have so many choices, and they're all great!

    What to do for fun

the student recreation center at acu is incredible. racquetball, volleyball, basketball courts, two incredible pools (one with lanes, the other just for fun), and way more. there's also a bowling alley and game center under the campus center.

    Bang for the buck

there are required bible classes and core classes that everyone must take..which ends up adding up to a good number of credit hours - which gets pricey.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

every friday, the bean (cafeteria) is a fun place with loud music, contests, and even some dancing!

Great for these types of students

for students wanting a smaller school with a great community and where professors will love each and every student, this is such a great place to be.

    Clubs and Activities

there are so many clubs and activities and bible groups and life groups for every student of any sort to get involved in! there's always posters and flyers announcing these types of things.

    Greek Life

ohh yeah. pledging is the greatest to watch.

    Campus Safety

acu has a 24/7 police department that are always patrolling the perimeters of the campus, ensuring the safety of the students! it's a great feeling when you're one of those people that like to run outside around the whole school (like myself).

Never will you be bored here, unless it is by choice. Students and faculty are constantly organizing both fun and educational opportunities for you to enjoy. However, if you prefer solitude, there are plenty of places to chill and do homework or contemplate life.

    Bang for the buck

There is no doubt that this school is expensive. Every student and staff members knows this. However, ACU ranks among the best universities in the country. The teachers are some of the best in their respective fields, the facilities are top-notch, the campus is gorgeous, and the technology is fresh and innovative. You absolutely will receive a phenomenal education along with life-changing experiences here.

    Tips for prospective students

    - Don't be afraid to eat by yourself. Nobody will point and laugh at you because chances are that they have been exactly where you are.
    - Take every opportunity possible to score free food.
    - Study hard to come here and study hard once you are here. Being accepted does not mean that you are immune from failing out.
    - If possible, visit campus. It has a huge impact on your decision to come here.
    - Don't waste your money on stupid things! ACU sells a lot of cute, useless stuff, but resist the temptation to buy it! You need to save that money for tuition.

Great for these types of students

    - Those who enjoy thinking outside the box and viewing issues from different perspectives.
    - Texans or those who like Texan accents and hospitality
    - Outgoing or introspective, either one will thrive here
    - Those who wish to learn more about the world from a Christian perspective
    - Activists

    Am learning a lot

I have learned a great deal in each of my classes especially my majors courses. I am not only learning on an educational level but on a level that prepares you for the real world which involves interacting with others and cooperating to reach a goal.

    Am enjoying being here

I love being at ACU. The professors are extremely invested in your career and education. The ACU community is amazing, everyone is so willing to make you feel welcome and at home even though everyone comes from different places and backgrounds.

    Bang for the buck

It is expensive and I do feel the pressure of trying to find every scholarship I can get my hands on, but it's hard to put a price on everything that comes from going to ACU. The classes are wonderful and the size is ideal (30-70 students), which makes learning a bit more comfortable and ultimately rewarding.

    Tips for prospective students

A tip to all students heading for college, while it is supposed to be a fun and enjoyable experience remember to keep up with class work, it can be easy to put off. And to those looking at ACU, don't miss out on the opportunities offered, academically and socially.

Great for these types of students

It is a great school for those who want an education and more, it provides opportunities for students to live and grow as a community.

It is an educational facility that has a medium sense of community. There are some things that you can get involved in, but the town itself does not have much going on. It is a small Christian campus that you will always see someone you know.

    Tips for prospective students

Be sure and talk to the registrar if you are transferring in credit. Also, make sure your high school requirements match theirs. If you come here they will not necessarily tell you that you do not have something that you need, and then you will be required to take it even if they failed to tell you.

    Academic Rigor

I would say that it is just a normal college. There is nothing that is too difficult, but that also has to do with what major you choose, and what you feel you are gifted at.

    Dorm Life

You only have to live in a dorm your first two years here, which I highly recommend.

    Food and Dining

The schools food is overpriced, always the same thing, and it is really not that good. Furthermore, the food in the town is just okay, and there is nothing that stands out as amazing.

Abilene Christian University is an excellent college and campus. The choice of majors are diverse as are the faculty, students, and activities available. It is a welcoming experience that challenges you, embraces you, and steers you toward your future goals.

    Tips for prospective students

The staff are outgoing and very willing to help. Do not be afraid to ask questions or set up appointments for individual meetings.
Get familiar with your campus outside of your classes.
Meet as many people as you can, inside and outside your major.
Participate in activities and pay attention to events that are coming near.

    Academic Rigor

The school is challenging and pushes you to your fullest without leaving you feeling burn out.

    Dorm Life

University Parks (off campus but only a 3 minute walk away) is a very good place. It is for graduate students but the housing is great, the RAs are understanding, and the other workers are nice, respectable, and willing to help. There is always something going on to connect residents. It has the convenience of being near campus but far enough to make it seem as if in its own world.

    Food and Dining

There is home cooking as well as familiar restaurants (Pizza Hut, Chic Fil A) within as well.

    Bang for the buck

The tuition is expensive but so worth it. The campus is small enough that you get included without being regarded as just a nameless face in a huge classroom. The experience is so worth the cost.

    Clubs and Activities

As a graduate student, I am not really involved in clubs as I do not have the time. But there are news emails and other announcements posted about various clubs and activities that are always going on. There is never a boring moment at ACU.

    Campus Safety

The campus police frequently are there. They are patrolling, strolling around, and their presence is felt. I feel safe here.

    Am learning a lot

ACU has taught me more than I could have ever imagined. Not only inside the classroom but also outside of the classroom and how to survive as the typical broke college student. The professors are great and I absolutely love all of my professors in the Exercise Science department. They make classes challenging but also are very open and willing to work with you to overcome the class.

    Am enjoying being here

I love being here! It has truly been a blessing. I have met lots of wonderful people and have had many once in a life time opportunities; for example meeting Joe Greene! I have gained wonderful experience being a student athletic trainer and at most schools you usually do not receive that kind of experience until your later years of college. ACU and Abilene are good, well rounded atmospheres and is a good college town to be apart of.

    Bang for the buck

The tuition cost is ACU's biggest down fall. It really hurts to have to pay about $800 for an hour worth of classes and that is why I rely on loans and scholarships to help me. Going into my senior year does not allow me to transfer because I do not want to lose hours and I really do love being at ACU.

    Tips for prospective students

My biggest tip is come into ACU with an open mind. Get involved in anything and test out the waters to what you do and do not like. Try to meet as many people as you can because those relationships can only help you in the future. Have fun, give God the glory and don't waste a minute of being unhappy!

Great for these types of students

ACU is a good school for students who like smaller class sizes and want more one on one time with their professors. It is a school of opportunity and the university gives you multiple chances to listen to speakers from all over the world. It is a great atmosphere overall and I encourage prospective students to at least come check out the campus and visit for a weekend even if it may not being their cup of tea.
