    barstow community colllege is excellent for students fresh out of high school who are ready to begin their college education. the administration, registration, and financial aid staff are more than helpful, and i have not had any problems getting every class i need. however, the class schedule is not avaible until the day of registration, and many of the teachers are difficult to communicate with or understand.
    Tips for prospective students

    1. meet with a counselor and set up an education plan.
    2. keep a copy of the previous semester's class schedule so you have an idea of what to register for.
    3. read each class syllabus carefully.
    4. try online classes

    academic rigor is average. classes are not advanced, but not beginner levels either.

    there are no dorms.

    the campus only has a cafateria. since i am an online student, i have never been there.
    What to do for fun

    i am an online student, so i am not sure what fun there is on campus. it is a small campus in a tiny desert town.
    Bang for the buck

    at $36 per unit, this has made obtaining an associates degree incredilby affordable.

    They are a fantastic college. Whenever i have a question I can give them a call and am transferred where i need to be in 5 minutes. Besides the Chemistry department, i have never had an issue with any class.
    Tips for prospective students

    Enjoy your time there and fight for the best grades you can get, because they always have opportunities to make sure you get an A.

    although I haven't stayed the apartments near campus are beautiful.

    Yummy Cafeteria, just kinda expensive.

    sports, plays, and lots of game nights

    you get what you pay for, they are really helpful with scholarships. i have only had to pay for my books.
