Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot Love the small class sizes and teacher-student interaction. The work load is reasonable.
Am enjoying being here Eh.. It's still growing on me (I'm just starting out). My friends that I made here so far are kind of the only things keeping me going. The people here are super nice and welcoming though. I also like the whole trimester situation, it's like you get a wider variety of classes throughout the year.
Bang for the buck Beautiful campus, nice dorms, decent food, and administration/ teachers are very friendly and helpful. Also not too far from food and shopping centers. It's just missing some things and we also share the campus with the high school (which is a boarding school) and have to eat at their dinning hall on the weekends. It's a good campus for those without a car (which first year students can have by the way) because everything is so close, there are only three to four buildings in which you'll have classes and all in close proximity. There are a lot of activities that go on throughout the school year also.
Tips for prospective students A few things that I'm a little upset about are the rules (curfew of first year students, separation of sexes in dorms [meaning no visitation, except for the lounges], dry campus, etc) and the absence of basketball and football. Yes these are common rules for a lot of colleges but do not exist at a lot also (seeing as though this is a religion affiliated college these are reasonable rules, I'm just pre-warning those who didn't know of them). Note, there is no cable inside of the dorm rooms, just the lounges (first year students dorms [something I didn't know until arriving]). The internet here is kind of weird too (like, trying to hook things up wirelessly is a pain [i.e. printers, game counsels, etc.]). I'm probably missing a lot that I can't think of right now (good and bad), but we have a Facebook page for those with any questions; just find and ask, that is if you have a Facebook.
Great for these types of students If you like small schools, don't mind missing basketball and football (although you can watch the high school's teams play), don't mind the rules, or taking religion classes. Good for students looking for a close relationship with the teachers, students (you WILL get to know pretty much EVERYONE) and administration.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot Limited options for majors. Not many classes offered, and those that they do, are offered during specific times, and often coincide with other classes (with no option to take them at another time).
Am enjoying being here The campus is gorgeous, the teachers are involved and work hard to help struggling students. Small class size.
Bang for the buck Moderately priced
Tips for prospective students Make sure that they have the major you're looking for (many freshman were surprised at the small number of options and had to re-adjust what that want to major in). Keep in mind this is a religious school (2 religion classes a year are required, plus mandatory weekly chapel)
Great for these types of students History majors, looking for small school (200-something students total); those looking to become teachers.

Categories Rating Comments Will enjoy being here This school has alot to offer athletically, but the student body is very small. The campus is very nice and the dorms are really nice and roomy.
Bang for the buck Big plus: Every new student is given a laptop.
Great for these types of students This is a great school for someone who is a good athlete and wants to go to a small school.

Categories Rating Comments Did learn a lot I took an intro Microbio class last summer as a senior, and they really emphasize a learning environment where you get a lot of one-on-one time with the professor. Really helpful.
Did enjoy being here It was good for a summer, but too small for a city girl like me.
Great for these types of students Kids who want to learn a lot, but who really want a small campus. It is definitely what I would call a close-knit community.
