    Chaffey College has a small campus so it was easier for me to find the resources I needed. The student population is so diverse, I learned how to appreciate the different cultures, languages, and backgrounds.

    I enjoy being on campus and interacting with the other students. There are so many places to eat, sit, and study. The campus is becoming beautifully constructed and very clean.

    There are so many scholarships that are offered through the Associated Students of Chaffey College, and the Foundation Office. All students can apply for these scholarships. Chaffey College exceeded my expectations through their continuous care for the needs of the students on campus. It is truly commendable that they have so much assistance on campus for students.

    I recommend you to visit the campus. It is small, but it is convenient and advantageous when it comes down to whether or not you want to be knowledgeable of the resources available for you. If you want to make the most out of your college experience but you are a bit timid to do so, Chaffey is the right place for you. Chaffey College has a highly motivated and friendly population of students and faculty.

    I take the Broadcasting and Cinema classes so its very useful that I'm getting a hands on approach so I know what I'm doing.

    Being that I am saving quite a bit from going here, I do enjoy that. I'm really looking forward to finally transferring to a 4 year next year. Don't want to be here too long.

    I get fee waivers so I don't pay for my classes. Only thing I really buy is books but I just rent them from other sites which is a lot cheaper.
    Tips for prospective students

    If your grades after high school weren't quite good enough to land you into a 4 year college like me, finish your GE here and remember to do really well. They even have an honors program that has some ties to other universities.

    Chaffey has taught me so much, not only in classes, but about life as well. The classes vary in difficulty, but I always learn a lot.

    I LOVE Chaffey! It has a great environment, and I have a wonderful group of friends that make it so much better! I have made wonderful friends both from being in classes with them, and also from hanging around the same areas on campus. Make sure you aren't completely closed off to people, and you will have a great experience here!

    I have a BOGW Fee Waiver, which I got by filling out my FAFSA. It makes the fees super inexpensive, although books can be pricey.
    Tips for prospective students

    Apply as soon as possible, the longer you are here, the better registration date you will get. Don't be afraid to fight for a spot in class, waitlist, waitlist, waitlist!!
    Be open to meeting new friends wherever you are on campus, from in class, to when you're buying a snack in the bookstore.

    I must say that Chaffey College has been an outstanding college to have begun my scholarly journey. The fellow students that I have met here have proven to be quite a diverse and fantastic group. And best of all, I have been taught and academically assisted by some of the very best faculty members of this school; all of these benefits without having to pay a fortunate.

    Work hard and plan out which courses are necessary for the field of education that most interests you. I would highly recommend discussing with professors that are experts in fields your interested in. I say this for, having done this myself, I have benefited greatly through these interactions; because the knowledge I received helped me refine my scholarly desires and thus guided me onto a better college plan suited for me.

    i have been reformed into quite an academically rigorous student as a result from the great professors i have learned from. they have placed within me a burning desire to achieve more and more knowledge.
    Dorm Life

    no dorms as of now, but there are nice affordable apartments nearby.

    with the grand opening of the new cafeteria there has been an introduction of a wide variety of lunch meals.
    What to do for fun

    there are a plethora of fun classes to choose from. some of these classes, such as yoga and music classes, have been quite fun and enjoyable due to the type of people they attract.

    a very affordable school with many school benefits such as university school trips and health exams

    chaffey is a good way to save for the bigger universities. it will help prepare you for a four year or even just a vocational certificate. it is truly up to the student to take what they can, because there is a lot available if you have a plan.

    obtain a degree plan quickly or take the guidance courses to help you find what what degree you should aim for, while taking your general education courses. it is critical to find out what you want to do with your life. plus, if you do this then you will save time and money.
    Academic Rigor

    the academic rigor depends on which professors you take. there are professors that make it extremely easy to do well. they want you to pass, they want you to move on, or sometimes they don't care. then there are the professors who make it a real challenge, however they do so with the goal of making you a better student or professional in that field. then there are professors who make it a very real challenge with absolutely no regard for your success. i find the latter to usually be tenured (but not always - sometimes they're adjuncts with a grudge). the good professors are very good, and you walk away feeling all the wiser. the bad professors are very bad, and you walk away feeling ripped off. i'm sure it is that way with most colleges.
    Dorm Life

    there are no dorms available since it is a community college. however, i will say this, the parking is horrible. not near enough spaces, and far too many spaces dedicated to staff. in fact, there is a staff parking lot that is never beyond 15% filled permanently. however, students are left to park down a block or two from the college, which is no easy venture since the college is built on a hill.
    Food and Dining

    they have a starbucks built into the cafeteria. i believe everyone is happy with that. they used to have a taco bell stand, but no longer. they have a small quickie-mart. the cafeteria food is okay, super greasy though. to make up for the lack of choice on campus, there is a mcdonald's, a del taco, a jack-in-the-box, a subway, two mom and pop pizza joints, a donut shop, a mexican restaurant, a dominoes, a pub, a korean pho restaurant, and a hawaiian barbeque all within two or three blocks.
    What to do for fun

    within the immediate area there is the fontana speedway, ontario mills (the nation's largest discount mall supposedly), and victoria gardens, which is an open air mall. there is a bowling alley in the city. in neighboring ontario there is the honda center - where the lakers will occasionally play pre-season games. most of the action is of course within a 45 minute drive. head north and you can be skiing, head southwest and you will hit the beach, head west and you will hit l.a., head east and you will hit las vegas (within three hours though).

    Don't be scared to stop and ask questions to Staff/Students. There's no such thing as a dumb question there.
    Academic Rigor

    Proffessor's will make sure to have you learn the material from each section before moving forward. They will also give tests and quizzes to keep you on your toes and on top of your game. This motivates students to be prepared and ready to go every day.
    Dorm Life

    I don't live on campus, so I wouldn't know what it's like to live at Chaffey College.
    Food and Dining

    The cooks at Chaffey love their job, and prepare their food with love. They will make sure each student is satisfied with his/her order. There is also a variety of foods to pick from.
    What to do for fun

    Attend FREE coffee days! Also to attend the Drama and Music performances.

    They have great information for where to apply for scholarships. They will make applying for FAFSA easy to understand and complete. Chaffey tries to provide alternate choices on price selection for school supplies.

    Chaffey is located by a mountain, so there is a lot of bird life. It is on the nature part of things, so it makes for a relaxing and calming environment.

    Students who get rejected at other schools who only accept 4.0 students, but are just as capable as being very successful in their career choice. It's also great for students who love teamwork. Support from one another makes Chaffey great!

    I have yet to be part of Clubs and Activities, but I am sure they'd be awesome to be part of them because of the the Awesome Staff and Students.

    Chaffey College is a great opportunity for completing general education requirements. They have may facilities and learning centers that can help you achieve any goal. Their transfer center has information and guidance that can help a student pick the right university to continue their education.

    Visit the campus and see all the available resources. The mountain backdrop is stunning along with all the students Chaffey is a great mix of people. The staff is dedicated and honest. Most importantly make sure that Chaffey offers the classes or certification you are looking for. Chaffey has many programs and certification courses that can supplement you associates degree. Chaffey also has three campus' to best serve the student community. So if you are looking for classes you have much more options than with a college with only campus. All three campus's are spread out with the San Bernardino area and are accessible easily. Being a part of Chaffey has allowed me to take classes at a cheaper rate and reach my goal of transferring.
    Academic Rigor

    Chaffey classes are instructional and exciting. The teachers give a lot of information and have a high emphasis on writing. Along with the success center's Chaffey promotes high academic standards. It is up to the student to strive for excellence at Chaffey. Chaffey is a great institution that prepares you for the university level.
    Dorm Life

    Chaffey currently does not have any housing. There are many giant homes that rent out rooms or local apartments. Chaffey is in the city of Rancho Cucamonga which is a nicer neighborhood in the Inland Empire. There is many living arrangement opportunities. And getting to your house will be a breeze if you do not have a car because Chaffey students ride the bus for free.
    Food and Dining

    Chaffey just finish building a new food common. This massive building includes Starbucks and a Chaffey cafeteria. There are plenty of dining options and they grill the most delicious veggie burgers. Their prices are student friendly and they offer many food-to-go choices for students in-between classes. The air-conditioning makes the Commons building a cool place to hang out. There are t.v.s placed around the seating that play music videos and you can vote for the ones you like. Eating in this new building is fun and you get to interact with other students.
    What to do for fun

    Chaffey has many clubs and connections with local business. At the bookstore students can purchase tickets to amusement parks and even the movies at a discounted price. The theater hosts plays, jazz concerts, and many more activities. Chaffey is right at the foot of the mountains which makes for easy access to hiking and outdoor activities. There are also sports and a pool. Students have many choices at Chaffey.

    Chaffey is worth every penny. Their rates are affordable and the preparation you receive is priceless.

    Chaffey College is a great school that has very good professors. The campus is beautiful since it is just a little south of the mountains. The vibe on campus is nice and relaxing which allows you to feel comfortable being at school for long periods of time.

    The parking can get a little hectic, but arriving early for class will give you the time needed to find a good spot. Don't be afraid to ask other students questions, they are friendly. The professors are understanding and want to help you.

    Excellent value for the money. Great teachers as a rule, but there are a few poor exceptions, so research names. Good counselors; make a plan.
    Tips for prospective students

    See a counselor, decide what you want (transfer, nursing program, etc), make a plan, take the classes. You'll be out in no time. It can be tough getting into classes as a new student; take electives or whatever you can get to bump your credits and increase your priority.

    Teachers are good as a rule, but sometimes teachers will go easy and appeal to the lowest common denominator. On occasion, a teacher will be incredibly demanding and difficult, which is refreshing, but can throw you for a loop.
    Dorm Life

    There are no dorms, housing, apartments, and rooms in the area are hard to come by and expensive. Only for local students really, or individuals in an exchange program.
    Food and Dining

    Food on campus, but it's expensive and limited. There's also food down the street, a few restaraunts, but nothing nice. Vegetarians beware, finding variety here is a challenge.
    What to do for fun

    There are a lot of clubs that meet and hang out and discuss things, for a pretty wide range of interests. The college is also very close to the local foothills and mountains, and there is some really incredible hiking a short drive away - around 20 minutes at most.
    Bang for the buck

    Ridiculously cheap, and just as good as a 4-year institution for your lower-division classes. I paid $35 a unit, which is a steal compared to anything in the CSU or UC systems.

    Students looking to save money who have faith in their academic ability and focus. You can easily transfer into the most prestigious institutions in the state from Chaffey, provided you maintain a good GPA, which is fairly easy here.

    Clubs and extracurricular activities advertise well; you'll be found by one that piques your interest if you don't go looking for one. Teachers are very supportive of clubs, and frequently take part in events, which is surprising for such a small community college.

    Pretty safe; I've been stargazing on campus at 10pm on two different occasions, and both times I was stopped by campus police and questioned. Considering that classes go on until around 9:30 at night, security is pretty good, even during non-traditional class hours.

    Many believe that this is a low class school that teaches at a slow pace, but this school is at a high level. Make sure to not to procrastinate in order to get good grades and do well in your academics.

    chaffey is an excellent community college. i would highly recommend any students who are seeking an inexpensive two year school to apply to chaffey. chaffey has many resources to help any person seek a great education.

    if you are unable to receive all your classes that are needed do not give up, just at least get your foot in the door; even if it means taking one or two classes. if a class is full do not give up try to get on the wait list or try and add, and persistently show up to the class you are trying to get into. last make sure you build relationships with your teachers, and counselors.

    the curriculum at chaffey can be rigorous depending on what your major is, and what classes you take; but overall anyone can pass their classes as long as you study outside of class hours, and seek tutoring, if necessary.

    chaffey is a community college, so unfortunately there is not on campus housing.

    chaffey has a brand new cafe that they just opened this semester which has starbucks, sandwiches, salads, burgers if you are a hungry college for reasonable prices.

    In three sentences

    A very simple yet welcoming community college that I've attended and continued to enroll until I've gather all my credit to transfers. The campus has a wide variety of classes and clubs that anyone can attend. Not to mention to complete the basic and get them done and over with.
    Tips for prospective students

    Depends on the major that your interested its always best to be kept busy and no I don't mean just work and school but also have fun too.

    The academic rigor is very simple either with a grade lettering or a pass/fail results.

    No dorms unless a student rents an apartment or house.

    Practically a drive with wide variety of food from Subway to McDonald's.

    Besides clubs Chaffey offers social activities and gatherings for not only for the students but the teachers as well. ALongs with Sport games and band concerts for entertainment.
